Scania OmniCity 5241 was allocated earlier this month. Could an OmniCity not be permanently allocated? Sometimes a single deck vehicle is appropriate for the 74. Mostly it's not busy, occasionally it has been almost full though and now we have social distancing to consider.

When does the contract expire for Go North East operating the 74? Perhaps the route could be slightly amended to serve Fenham instead of Cowgate?

Don't see why they'd do that it's a Northumberland CC contract, they don't and won't care about residents in Fenham and will want the quickest way from Darras Hall and beyond which is via the A167(M) after giving their connection to Westerhope etc.

It's a small alteration, maybe two could do Fenham and two continue through Cowgate in each direction. Why is the connection to Westerhope so vital?

How long is the contract for?

Because the 74 has the route to itself after Hillheads Road serving Callerton Village before heading to Ponteland and Darras Hall as Stagecoach services head either up to Newbiggin Hall (6/7/8/87), into the Hillheads estate at Westerhope (71) or down Hillheads Road (72).

Voyager 6173 is currently out on Sunderland Connect 701 service.

Mercedes Sprinter 729 on the 74. Isn't that a Consett bus now, and not Hexham?

Was only at Consett for Roadworks shuttle, both I believe are now at Hexham for Alston / Haltwhistle services (185/681/X81)

Thank you for the info.

6354 was on the 74 this morning, before 729 took over.

Why does the 11 have 4 double deckers on. 1 being the Coster another being a cobalt and coast and the other two being Scania Omnidecka with one being the metro radio one

If Bustimes is accurate then they all got put on around lunchtime. You'd imagine, given the route, it's to respond to demand that the Solos couldn't cope with this morning.
