Saying that, I've always thought I'd rather have an A32x short haul - whereas for long haul I like a 747/777. But, I have to say, I have a massive soft spot for the E170/E190 series... Aye, I reckon that Titan 757 will be a little easier on the eye than my Thomas Cook Airways was! I think it should be essential for boeing to get a newer version of the 757 quickly. Although the A321LR looking like a good replacement and the 737MAX10 looking like a likely replacement, you have got to remember that neither of these aircrafts were designed to cross the pond. The 737 and 787 are for different leagues and are really nothing compared to a 757. Short turnaround times like the 737 but able to cross the pond well like a 787(just). They can keep the same design as far as I can see it. All it would need is new engines. Some heroic piloting here. RE: Planes in General... - 8222 - 23 Aug 2019 Another A321... RE: Planes in General... - 8222 - 10 Aug 2020 Flew out of LHR yesterday. So sad to see the 744's parked up, including Negus 744I had a trip planned on the upper deck in April next year (and the A318 the opposite way!) so I'm gutted to see them taken out of service. Currently trying to find alternatives for both! They seem to be putting the 772s with Club Suite on the JFK route though so I may just stick with that on the way back. I like their 77Ws most of all - their 772s feel a little old now - even the refurbed ones. I've been on a refurbed 772 to MAD in club and it was nice, but certain bits felt a bit old still. It's like I had a VS A332 to HAV last year which is one of the ones they received from Air Berlin and refitted internally with the trial seats/cabin for the 35K, but there were little things, like the overhead panels that gave away that both aircraft were over 20 years old. I'd definitely try see if you can get a 77W. Really nice aircraft for a long trip. RE: Planes in General... - Andreos1 - 14 Aug 2020 I've updated my flight list following on from a trip last week. The bonus was an unexpected aircraft operating the return flight. Also present in the airport coming back, was a couple of Rossiya 747's, including EI-XLD. Quite spectacular close up!
