In addition, 39710 and 39714 are on the 7/8. I think services 3/4 are also MAN E200 operated as well.

Presumably sent out as a changeover earlier in the day - as the deckers are defect checked first thing before the school runs, they are there and ready as spare buses until the afternoon departures for schools.
The only day where a PM School run comes off a daytime board is Wednesdays when the Asda Free Bus 468 run until later than Thursday and Friday, as such the driver goes light from Lingdale back to Macmillan to work the 308s (having worked the 307 on the morning).

BIB: not exactly a rare or odd working, older MANs are normal on everything. A working of note as 22473 will be a target of most Teesside enthusiasts at present.
