RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - Kuyoyo - 21 Jan 2017 1459 is now Frequenta branded - interestingly it has the generic Stockton branding suggesting that only 1484-92/4 will be 15 branded with the 4 10 plates being generic. Conductors?! RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - Andreos1 - 21 Jan 2017 Didn't get to id it unfortunately, but a Redcar Streetlite was steaming and/or smoking at Quarry Lane roundabout. A van and two fitters in attendance. RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - Buses98 - 22 Jan 2017 I have just read on Facebook that Once 7416 has been refurbished it will move to redcar to replace LJ51 0SK (Sorry I cannot remember fleet number) to ashington. I will ask the person on facebook if I can copy his post as I don't like using peoples posts without their consent. Plus, I believe the Park and Ride is up for renewal in 2018, so if Arriva lost the contact, there would be no need to replace it with anything, it would presumably be repainted and transferred anyway. Sounds like more uneducated rumour. The Scarborough Park & Ride is operated by EYMS on behalf of the Council with no contract in place. I thought Whitby would have been the same. RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - Buses98 - 23 Jan 2017 does anyone know if 7472 is at blyth and 1581 is at jesmond yet? RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - tyresmoke - 23 Jan 2017 7439 has apparently transferred to Blyth to help out with refurbishments RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - Cock Robin - 23 Jan 2017 (22 Jan 2017, 2:37 pm)S813 FVK wrote I didn't even realise that it was a contracted service. Surely they have to go out to tender?? You seem to be forgetting that Blyth also have 7425 which is an intended replacement whilst the hybrids are away. 7439 will likely just be providing further back up, and as such won't 'stay' on any route, it will be used wherever it is needed. Hopefully that finally means binning off their Wayfarer TGX150s for contactless ERGs.... Better than them contactless 'blobs' on the 5/5A that like to fall off.... I think that's the way they are going - the contactless pads connected to the Wayfarer. No sign yet of them falling off on the Streetlites (or 1512)...... RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - Driver9*** - 26 Jan 2017 Contactless would be a disaster using the current ticket machines, they are far too slow as it is.
