Service info for next Saturday (January 12th) will be announced sometime by Friday at the latest.

Feel sorry for anybody depending on Arriva tommorow to take them to work or leisure faciltys. I expect Northern Rail to be extremely busy tommorow.

Why would they run dupes when every other services is hourly or 2 hourly?

Well seeing how tommorow service 63 is the only Arriva bus running from Arriva North East you would think they might provide two buses opposed to one seeing how double deckers can't be allocated.

Where's the low bridge on the 63 route?

Marton Station

I think the B9s are just slightly too tall.

During a period of industrial action?

They're providing a service based on who they can scrape together to drive buses... I am not sure where you think the resource to drive a duplicate would come from Huh

Well the other managers that have PCV licences, although for them it'll be a pick and choose so I assume many declined to working on a Sunday. How they can provide a bus to Grosmont which has trains aswell, whilst Robin Hood's Bay and Scarborough go without is beyond me.

14ft according to Google maps. Thought it was a little taller than that to be honest.

CrossCountry are going to accept monthly and annual passes between Darlington and Newcastle.

The longer 95 (to Lealholmside) is still a relatively easy, short route to operate, plus I believe it interworks with school contracts.  The full length 93, like the X4 are long routes, take a long time from start to end, and need driver changes, which is probably too much demand on very limited resources during the strike.

Thats because the 95 service is a contracted service that in ran by Arriva for NYCC. They are paid to run it.

Teeside Live are reporting that Arriva Buses in County Durham, Teeside and North Yorkshire will be free of charge to all passengers for the duration of the strike. Can anybody confirm this?

I wonder who is telling the truth here then haha, the dishonest media or a employee in the social media department.

Does anybody know the allocations today?
Pulsar 2 and a Sapphire Enviro 400 were on East Durham College services.

Only ANE I've seen today, was the MC1. Pulsar operated. Very few on it mind.

RE: Arriva North East: Planned Industrial Action - idiot - 07 Jan 2019

43 is running with free travel. My friend is on it

Arriva North East: Planned Industrial Action - Jimmi - 07 Jan 2019

Observations from a quick drive round Darlington this morning:

A few additional services are running in and out of Darlington than previously advertised, spotted a service 3 coming from Skerne Park, saw a X21 heading out of Darlington and a X1 arriving into Darlington (that's all I can say, I know absolutely nothing else about these running, no times or anything)

Allocation wise so far:

2/7: E400
3/13's: Solo
X1: MAX Lite
X21/X26: Pulsar

Redcar seem to be covering some of the Darlington output, spotted 1429 and another Frequenta 63 Pulsar out and about.

Twitter says services are running free of charge but then again they also suggested to someone that the 6 ain't running when timetables suggest that it is.

RE: Arriva North East: Planned Industrial Action - BusLoverMum - 07 Jan 2019

Definitely free. We missed the 64 home from town but overtook it and when it caught up with us, as we got off the 50, there was a sign by the ticket machine stating that travel was free and an extra member of staff ushering people on.
