RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - Rapidsnap - 12 Sep 2022 Most bus stations in the North East would have issues with Dual Door buses. Only ones that can completely used easily by Dual Door Buses are Gateshead, MetroCentre, Washington Galleries, Hexham, Killingworth, Blyth, Ferryhill, Four Lane Ends and Regent Centre. All the others are either Drive On Reverse Off or have badly positioned street furniture / shelters blocking the second doors. RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - F114TML - 12 Sep 2022 (12 Sep 2022, 4:03 pm)Storx wrote Bus stations are the issue in the North East in particular Haymarket and Eldon Square as the middle door is behind the no go barrier so they couldn't get on at all.At South Shields and stands A-G at Park Lane, the centre door would just empty onto the road (assuming another bus isn't blocking it). Seems GNE have either bought / loaned some ex L&G Coaches President’s RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - Rapidsnap - 12 Sep 2022 L&G are running a few scholar services on behalf of GNE. It's the same arrangement when A-Line / Stanley have provided a driver and bus to cover GNE journeys RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - Unber43 - 12 Sep 2022 (12 Sep 2022, 5:57 pm)Rapidsnap wrote L&G are running a few scholar services on behalf of GNE. RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - Dan - 19 Sep 2022 Not sure a final list was ever confirmed, so: East Yorkshire
East Yorkshire (loan buses, pending delivery of buses from Go-Ahead London)
Go North West
Go-Ahead London Volvo B9TL
Go-Ahead London ADL Enviro400
Latest arrival is ex-East Yorkshire 786, now numbered 6193 (YX08 FWE) at Go North East. Repainted prior to collection from East Yorkshire. ![]() RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - Jack Gill - 19 Sep 2022 This has probably already been answered, but are the E400's staying after the metro replacement contract has ended? RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - F114TML - 19 Sep 2022 Would they go to the expense of refurbing and painting them just for a few months' work? *looks at X22* Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - Dan - 19 Sep 2022 (19 Sep 2022, 3:48 pm)F114TML wrote Would they go to the expense of refurbing and painting them just for a few months' work? Oh dear - this one has backfired on you! The E400s are planned to stay and will replace 6901-19. RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - Retro Nero - 28 Sep 2022 Has anyone got a picture of ex London Volvo (now Go North East 6204) I'm currently on the sick so not getting out much RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - N391OTY - 28 Sep 2022 (28 Sep 2022, 2:36 pm)Retro Nero wrote Has anyone got a picture of ex London Volvo (now Go North East 6204) I'm currently on the sick so not getting out much Unlikely. Bus Times recent changes suggest that neither 6198 nor 6204 are actually here yet, yet more "tracking errors" apparently. RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - nova347 - 30 Sep 2022 I know we won't be getting any more London deckers after these for a while but does anyone think that we would ever get any of the new Routemasters from London? Doubt it, the back stair case would just be a total waste of space and have no purpose when there's hundreds of other buses to choose from. Not to mention the ramp is in the middle door so would be expensive to convert. They'll go straight to scrap mostly imo. RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - omnicity4659 - 01 Oct 2022 Some New Routemasters are already being scrapped. They’re going through a refurbishment programme at the moment. Seats all being re-trimmed in a newer moquette and the exteriors repainted. RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - stagecoachbusdepot - 01 Oct 2022 Does anyone know whether the vehicles listed as 9202-9210 on bustimes are actually in the GNE fleet? Been tracking for a while on scholars now and a bunch of them appear to have had a trip down to Redcar today? Go North East has sub-contracted 8x Nexus Miscellaneous Works contracts to L&G after they lost all their contracts. These contracts run with L&G Coaches’ buses and drivers. Today, Go North East sub-contracted a shuttle bus in operation between Durham University and Redcar Racecourse to L&G Coaches using five of their buses. Other sub-contractors ran from Saltmeadows today on the same event. I think part of the reason why they're owned by TFL was because of their limited second life. Not much call for a 2 staircase, 3 door bus outside of London; and leasing were reluctant to expose themselves to the risk of getting stung.
