RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Ambassador - 29 Oct 2024 (29 Oct 2024, 5:18 pm)Jimmi wrote Those two seem to be allergic to the X66, 5498 was on 21 yesterday as well (along with two Versas according to bustimes) and 5488 was on the 21 twice last week with 5498 spreading its wings elsewhere too. Whilst there’s Angels on metro replacement work. #riversidelogic RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Rapidsnap - 30 Oct 2024 6232 ended up on 51/52/93/94 group of services instead of Metro Replacement. 6235 also broke down at Felling whilst on Metro Replacement. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - V514DFT - 31 Oct 2024 8313 on the 9 8321 looks to be replacing 5452 on the 1 after 5452 broke down in North Shields while on its way to Whitley Bay RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Ambassador - 29 Nov 2024 Has common sense officially left Riverside Towers? 5382 has been on the angel 21 all day. Fair enough. Happens a lot now but tbf, it was only 1 single deck vs 17 deckers today In what world does Riverside think leaving 5382 on the 21 all day and running the lat service the notoriously busy 23.46 from town to Chester on a pay weekend make any sense whatsoever?! That’s just sheer incompetence RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Dan - 30 Nov 2024 (29 Nov 2024, 11:14 pm)Ambassador wrote Has common sense officially left Riverside Towers? It’s a sign of the times when we’re saying “fair enough” to a single-deck being on the 21. I noticed six single-decks on the 21 either last week or earlier this week. It’s not fair enough in the slightest. The BSIP-funded frequency increase and additional bus to support punctuality has worked wonders. Let’s hope it delivers passenger and revenue growth to be commercially viable without funding. The improvement is being let down by poor vehicle allocation and absolutely no management of this situation, which won’t be helping in delivering growth… RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Andreos1 - 30 Nov 2024 5491 on the X10. Followed closely by a decker. Either one was running extremely late or they're running dupes. Both rammed. Hopefully GNE make route / interworking changes on the X30's/X70's & X45 in January that allows this to happen with suitable vehicles. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - WestDurhamSwift - 30 Nov 2024 (30 Nov 2024, 12:43 pm)Andreos1 wrote 5491 on the X10. 5498 also on the X10 Also passed 6181 on the X32 (euro 4 I believe) looks like it had taken over the journey outside of Newcastle according to bus times. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Jimmi - 30 Nov 2024 (30 Nov 2024, 12:22 pm)Dan wrote It’s a sign of the times when we’re saying “fair enough” to a single-deck being on the 21.It's a pretty poor show, although the needs of other routes doesn't help the 21, 6325 was robbed off the 21 around lunchtime to do the X10 for a few hours (6352 disappeared off tracking upon arrival in Boro but unsure if this means owt) 3 Versas have been on the 21 today. (30 Nov 2024, 12:43 pm)Andreos1 wrote 5491 on the X10. Going off bustimes, 5491/98 were dupes between Peterlee & Newcastle (from Peterlee in the morning & from Newcastle in the afternoon/evening) RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - WestDurhamSwift - 14 Dec 2024 5524 running a few trips on X10 according to bustimes. Living in mad times. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - missedbus - 14 Dec 2024 (14 Dec 2024, 7:38 pm)WestDurhamSwift wrote 5524 running a few trips on X10 according to bustimes. 5524 and 5525 both acting as dupes on the northern section on the route, from Peterlee to Newcastle in the morning and from Newcastle to Peterlee in the afternoon. Unusually all four Enviro 400 MMCs were allocated today as well. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - PH - BQA - 16 Dec 2024 6337 sighted in service. Do we give it to lunchtime? Bustimes isn't always the most reliable source, however it's suggesting that it has been sitting on Clayton Street for 20 minutes or so, so it might have failed again! Looks like it got sent out again in the PM peak, only to fail again at Newcastle. What an absolute heap. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Andreos1 - 24 Jan 2025 Noticed a Versa out on the 10 earlier. Euro 5 aren't they? RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Jimmi - 25 Jan 2025 (24 Jan 2025, 7:41 pm)Andreos1 wrote Noticed a Versa out on the 10 earlier. 5379 according to bustimes, which is Euro 6. 5380 appears to be on today. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Andreos1 - 28 Jan 2025 Noticed a 10 branded B9 and one of the random Gateshead (58 perhaps?) branded B9's on the X10 earlier. There was also a 56 branded decker on the X20. When I first saw it, I thought it was on a 21. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - WestDurhamSwift - 31 Jan 2025 4 Country Ranger streetlites on the 6 today! RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Jimmi - 31 Jan 2025 5368 on 28/29 - all trips on this bus are terminating at Gateshead to dodge entering Newcastle's CAZ. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Storx - 31 Jan 2025 (31 Jan 2025, 2:27 pm)Jimmi wrote 5368 on 28/29 - all trips on this bus are terminating at Gateshead to dodge entering Newcastle's CAZ. Hopefully Durham Council have the bottle to fine them (not sure how contracted services work) more than the cost of the CAZ for the day as I'd just mark them all down as cancelled if I was them. They're not paying them to run half a service. I can't see how anyone can seriously think running a service short is better than paying £50. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Ambassador - 24 Feb 2025 6094 has expired on the late 56 turn And it appears 6315 is taking its place with an angelic rescue RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - purplesolo - 07 Mar 2025 6088 on loan to Washington and been on X1 today. Was quite amusing following it on a 56 up Old Durham Road with people expecting it to stop. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - Tiger5105 - 28 Mar 2025 Not sure if its related to the NUFC parade tomorrow and extra capacity but a Tyne Valley Ten B9 was on its way through Consett towards Hownsgill depot at 4.30 pm this afternoon. RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024 - WestDurhamSwift - 29 Mar 2025 6994 on the 1 today. |
