RE: Gateshead Central Taxis - Tom - 08 Feb 2020 (05 Feb 2020, 11:13 am)Dan wrote It’s quite a complicated one in that the operators have to reach an agreement with the local authority to accept tickets. Usually the daytime operator has to pay for the privilege, I understand. According to a driver the 11 is replacing the 41 - unsure if its just evenings / Sunday’s but i’m guessing why it’s not been awarded. RE: Gateshead Central Taxis - Jordan2104 - 10 Feb 2020 Seen a gateshead central driver smoking while driving a 18A in walker this evening. Gct dont have any complaint details and drivers arent bothered RE: Gateshead Central Taxis - S830OFT - 10 Feb 2020 That's no suprise, although I have seen drivers from both LNER & Stagecoach do it on occasions, although they must think with the window or door being open it's legal... In London this would not be tolerated, there seems to be a sort of lackadaisical approach to bus services in the northeast.
