I've lost count on how many sleepy commuters we have had on purple Streetlites!

Next to the emergency exit, as well!

I best whip my screw driver out and loosen those screws a little, making them a bit more rattley!

Sadly missed the photo opportunity where he was catching flies.

He's similarly missing out on the nice views, on the Tyne Valley line![Image: 977c08e99322a359b0adc2f4fb51a54e.jpg]

RE: Sleeping Commuters - Andreos1 - 11 Jun 2017

Saw an excellent Sleepy Commuter this morning. Although Sleepy Dirty Stop-Out is maybe more apt.

He was sitting at the front, upstairs on an early-ish 21 this morning.
Unfortunately, I was driving in the opposite direction, so couldn't get a photo.

He had his head back, mouth open and had probably meant to get off half an hour previously...

Another airport sleeper.

RE: Sleeping Commuters - Andreos1 - 27 Aug 2017

Not the best, but the temptation to snap was too much.

Gotten a few photos for this thread recently, here's one on a Pacer yesterday, plus some dodgy looks from the woman sat behind.[Image: 63cd8ccd8d4ed87ac30454310da47ff4.jpg]

I have another one. In two minds whether to post it, as it's a Premier League footballer...

Still in two minds whether to upload this. In the meantime, our first mid air sleepy commuters?

Keep that one for your retirement fund.

How does one sleep on a pacer? I cannot follow this idea.

I don't know, I can't think how anyone could just go to sleep on public transport, I saw the Killers at Wembley Stadium going on a coach and back in one day, in 24 hours I think I managed to doze off for about 30 minutes at points on the journey home on the night.

Think I should make you endure several hours of Pacer bashing and see if you fall asleep, especially if you (and I) were as tired as the Scarborough trip the other week  Big Grin

There's a fair few photos in this thread, that were taken on a Pacer.

Whether it be DanPick, Uni lecturers or randomers, the proportion of people able to sleep on a Pacer is remarkable.

Maybe it's the heat?

I've been going with the theory of it being the heat but at least one of mine was on a bench seated example taken on a early cold Saturday morning with no heating on the train.

I'm no detective, but there has to be a clue there Wink

Sleeping Commuters - Jimmi - 17 Sep 2017

Whilst I was on CityZap about to depart Leeds Bus Station yesterday, spotted this bloke on the 36 on the opposite stand, fear he may have fallen asleep on the in bound journey to Leeds and hadn't woken up.[Image: 19e2386efbb7d8a5a5b925f605e4b682.jpg]

Forgot I took a subsequent snap of the fella sitting alongside the 'Jean Boht' - alike.

RE: Sleeping Commuters - BusLoverMum - 22 Sep 2017

There has been a young Chinese woman curled up like a dormouse on the 22 every morning this week! Despite littlun's attempts to wake up the whole bus!

RE: Sleeping Commuters - Andreos1 - 07 Oct 2017

Just a sideways shot unfortunately.

A very tricky shot to get.
Got there in the end.

RE: Sleeping Commuters - Andreos1 - 13 Nov 2017

Got this one earlier on.

Didn't get a photo of the guy snoozing this morning unfortunately.
The guy next to him, was kind enough to give a gentle nudge 'just incase', as we pulled in to a station.
The sleepy commuter jumped a mile and was thankful for the nudge once he came to - it was his station.
Goodness knows where he would have ended up...

RE: Sleeping Commuters - Andreos1 - 26 Nov 2017

Fortunately the first passenger set her alarm. She woke up just as the train pulled in to the station.

She was replaced by the old fella and the young lad.
The sleepiness seat must be contagious. They both dozed off within minutes.

RE: Sleeping Commuters - Andreos1 - 30 Nov 2017

An unbelievably tired guy. Woke up when buzzers went or doors opened, but could barely keep his eyes open!

RE: Sleeping Commuters - Andreos1 - 03 Dec 2017

So the festive season is upon us and people falling asleep on the bus, may start to happen a little more frequently...

I tried to get the two guys in a shot together, but it was a little difficult.

Anyway, the bald fella in the middle ended up falling in to the poor lass after we came round a bend.
I asked if she was ok, asked if she wanted help to 'nudge' him the other direction or if she wanted me to wake him up - but she seemed happy enough, laughed most of the way through the journey and didn't seem to mind the cuddle.

I was a good passenger and it got to a point where I decided to wake him up. I have no idea whether it was his stop or not, but he thanked me and got off!
