Yeah German is easier. French is shit. Don't know why they even make you learn it!! What's it based upon? The fact that the Queen is fluent in it?! German is the way forward, and Spanish has got to be more popular than French! Spanish is the most popular language in my school. RE: What's annoying you today? Part of me wants to put lol and I can't bring myself to it!). He learnt French, German, Spanish, Greek, Latin, Russian and Mandarin. We do French, German and Spanish. At the North Lodge site, in Year 7 you get two hours a week. Each term it flips so Term 1 they get French then Term 2 they get German, and so on. In Year 8 they get 4 hours - 2 hours of French and 2 hours in German. Doesn't change at all throughout the year. At the Church Chare site, you get 4 hours of languages in Year 9. 2 hours of Spanish, which you start. And 2 hours of French... ![]() For GCSE, you have to pick one language out of French, German and Spanish - and get 2 hours of it. You can pick two if you're good at languages. At A-Level, you can pick a language out of the three providing you do well in them at GCSE! ![]() RE: What's annoying you today? Thats a lot of languages...Dont wanna come across as racist, but coming from Bradford, I am surprised languages like Arabic, Hindi and Urdu are not taught... I have heard of schools in the past offering oriental languages as extras in the past... If there is one language I like it is Russian, sounds quite aggressive and it is great listening to Russian accented English ![]() RE: What's annoying you today? Think it's something like 1-9 instead of A* to G? And have to do a humanity, and language. With compulsory computing instead of IT? What's annoying you today? Think it's something like 1-9 instead of A* to G? No, we still have a number then a letter. So, for example, my latest science test (which was shit) was a 5A. And I was expected to get at least a 7A. They're starting that system soon though. RE: What's annoying you today? I know it won't seem like it at first but GCSE's really aren't too bad if you have the right attitude. I knew people last year who were very clever but got distracted, and I know people who may have been in a lower set but got amazing grades ![]() ![]() RE: What's annoying you today? V2 - Tommy1581 - 13 Jan 2015 E-leather seats. My buttocks now hurt after spending an a hour on the Sapphire X21. Never hurt when ALX400s operated the route. Go North East. Angel Geminis are cold, stinking, damp pieces of horse shit. 309 takes a fucking age, next stop announcements said that I was in Cobalt for 20 minutes. Snow. It's snowing and I hate it. Hail. It was hailing and I hated it. Greggs. Thank you for the 10 minute queue. I missed loads of Blyth buses, ta. RE: What's annoying you today? The Angel B5s are very comfortable, often when they're quiet they are the most peaceful journey you'll experience... They aren't even meant to go fast!? When them Lowlanders used to be on the 75/76 at Darlington (when they used to terminate at Newton Aycliffe, Horndale) I would always head for the back seat. If you think sitting on them Urban90s seats for about an hour is bad I once rode the X61 from Newton Aycliffe - Scarborough on 7444 once, this was a two and a half hour journey so I don't think you can imagine how much pain I was in by the time it got to Scarborough - sat at the back on the return journey. Not all Urban90s seats are that bad, the ones in the Enviro 200s that Scarlet Band have are alright, it's just Arriva's. I quite the e-leather seating, I had to ride the 7 to college with a journey time of an hour each morning and found the seats quite comfortable. I'm not sure which I prefer Arriva's e-leather seats or GNE's fabric seats (like on the B9TLs). RE: What's annoying you today?
