That's not true. Most of the time I've seen the 684, a normal Solo has looked 'cosy' to say the least. Most of the time I've seen the 684, a normal Solo has looked 'cosy' to say the least.hmm. Maybe we've had different experiences. Also I saw on GNE website that there are works taken place in Wylam so only the solo operated boards can now operate for a period of 3-4 months I think it is, so it takes the service to every 2 hourly in that location. If what you say is true I assume it would get 5377-78-79 for the 684 & 717/718 for 74 + Spare. Hopefully they can be refurbed and have USB's Added. RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - Malarkey - 23 Oct 2022 A few of the 63 plate Ex Venture Solo SR's have transferred to Plymouth Citybus. GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - cbma06 - 25 Oct 2022 How many citarios are left now at GNE apart from the Washington citarios for the 4?, just that by bustimes there’s only 5 left, we’re the 10reg used to be the x20 branded?, only 5333 showing as x20 brand while the other 4 in violets brand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - citaro5284 - 25 Oct 2022 (25 Oct 2022, 3:13 pm)ASX_Terranova wrote I'm unsure about the fleet number becuase it was my mam who riding this bus but an country ranger streetlite had an oil leak and an engine failure whilst on the 84 at Barmston. So I have no idea, Hopefully they come back much nicer than the streetlites. The X Lines were/are mothballed. Some have returned to service but I don't think all have. RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - Rapidsnap - 02 Nov 2022 The B9TLs from EYMS and GNW are probably capable of being upgraded to Euro 6. RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - nova347 - 11 Dec 2022 Does anyone know what's wrong with 5400, 8 branded Country Ranger have been off since the 2nd of September? Or 5462 which has been off since 22nd July? Or 5462 which has been off since 22nd July? 5400 is mothballed as it isn’t required at present due to the reduced frequency on service 8. 5463 has been awaiting a new engine and MOT since July. Should be back in service within the next week or so then will transfer from Riverside to Washington. Depending on the damage it could be the end of it. RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - nova347 - 14 Dec 2022 (14 Dec 2022, 4:04 pm)Rapidsnap wrote ADL E200MMC 5489 has had a thermal incident up in the estates at Whickham. Depending on the damage it could be the end of it.Whats a thermal Incident? A fire? Its not on bustimes anymore, I had to go on the 97 then got it on that to track it to see where it last track but if you go in fleet lists and search for it, its not there. RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - NL62WVW - 14 Dec 2022 Quite a significant fire from a video I've seen, be very surprised it it comes back RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - NEbushopper - 14 Dec 2022 https://bustimes.org/vehicles/193231 It's on bus times but it is registered as withdrawn I doubt it will come back in service from the picture I have seen RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - Unber43 - 14 Dec 2022 It depends on the damage, as the entire back will need to be replaced, its only 3 years old. Compared to 8309(?) which entire body burnt down. Scratch that..just seen whats left of it. RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - Unber43 - 14 Dec 2022 They should move out of Bensham aswell and just move into Riverside. The only issue of that would be the GNE Headquarters are the bottom of left back of the buses would have to be changed. RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - Rapidsnap - 14 Dec 2022 More then the entire back, needs replace, it be effectively a full rebuild due to the smoke damage. It will depends what the insurers will find what's viable, rebuild the bus or replace it with a similerly aged second hand example. RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - morritt89 - 16 Dec 2022 Rumours are that the Volvo B9/Levante Coaches (Charterplan etc) are going down south (possibly Plymouth). This fits in with what I've already been told about NF wanting rid of the coaches (not on Nat Ex) and the retendering of the services that use them (4274/5025). RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - Rapidsnap - 16 Dec 2022 Not surprised the coaches are going to go. Costly assets to have sitting around just in case they need them for rail replacement and the fact the school contracts could be easily covered by a standard bus. RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - MCN881L - 16 Dec 2022 the OK one and the seasider coaches are at volvo, crowther 7111 and 7128? plus 7108 at riverside has been registered to BF63ZPZ RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - morritt89 - 17 Dec 2022 (16 Dec 2022, 11:40 pm)MCN881L wrote the OK one and the seasider coaches are at volvo, crowther 7111 and 7128? 7128 required a new alternator and has been off the road for over a week now. 7132 is at Riverside for checks. RE: GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions - Unber43 - 30 Dec 2022 Which of 3941/42/43 & 3962/63/64/65 are Euro 6? and what are the future plans for these? Will they be spaced around the depot for emergency spares for Newcastle services, and not allowed on any other routes? |
