What's annoying you today? V3 - Jimmi - 21 Aug 2015 Jumped on the 17A in Stockton and a pensioner stood in the aisle waiting for some woman to get on who was at the back of the queue and I wanted to sit near the back and he just stood there not moving, I wouldn't care but there was only a few other passengers on-board and they were all sat towards the front and how this other passenger is supposed to sit next to him when he's stood there and I'm stood there. In the end he moved slightly but left me very little room to move so I ended smashing my bag with my camera inside. RE: What's annoying you today? Earlier this week, when he went for a skive on the Quaylink to Newcastle and back from Gateshead! It certainly doesn't see as much use as mine... RE: What's annoying you today? V3 - 8222 - 21 Aug 2015 (17 Aug 2015, 8:02 pm)R852 PRG wrote I do have an interest in aviation, it's strange because I love the different liveries of planes, how majestic they look in the sky, but I have a strange hatred of flying itself. A mixture of post-9/11 worrying, long journey times and that god awful crap they call airline food. jet2 are terrible in my opinion, flying back to Newcastle with them on Thursday. I haven't heard many good things of Jet2. I usually tend to fly BA, purely for where I want to go (usually Madrid, capital cities in Latin America) and I have to say, having flown on US/AA/AeroMexico after BA long haul and short haul, you definitely notice the difference in service. It's just a shame some of the 744s feel very worn out. The 77Ws are amazing to fly on. I still miss when they used to have the different tails representing different countries. Although, I have to say my KLM have annoyed me in the past. I flew LED-AMS-NCL with them to get home for Christmas, before flying the same route in reverse back. On the way from AMS-NCL, I saw a little tug speed up to the side of our 737, and I saw a Tog24 bag with gold string around it - I knew it was mine. We were already late and had we been any earlier or on time, it wouldn't have got on the flight. Luckily, they shoved it on. On the way back to LED, my bags didn't have such a good trip, as they got left in AMS. Had to wait three days to get them back. I wasn't happy as H&M/Zara/Pull and Bear in Russia usually cost a good 25% more due to import and air travel of goods. And now, I refuse to fly via AMS! RE: What's annoying you today? Stop digging it in! haha Only going to cost me £651 or so for the year not bad considering i can use it on all buses and the metro in Tyne & Wear RE: What's annoying you today? V3 - Malarkey - 21 Aug 2015 Went to the Doctors this morning as I have been having issues with my right knee over the past week, basically twinges of pain in between tendons etc which are causing my knee to give out, so I now have to go see a knee specialist to see what the crack is, hoping it isnt anything serious or something which has been underlying in my knee for a long period of time, what is worse is I am work tomorrow at the Stadium of Light working in the Sport Bars/Banqueting Suites again so I will be on my feet all day. Secondly I was advised to attend an Interview for a Community Work Placement at Radical (Vinyl Designers) on Armstrong Industrial Estate in Washington this morning, to find out the guy who was supposed to be interviewing me was on Holiday in Spain for the week, so basically whoever arranged the interview assumed he was going to be there and never even got in touch with Radical to say I would be coming in, safe to say I was fuming and I got a bloody good drenching off the rain in the process this morning. RE: What's annoying you today? V3 - Michael - 21 Aug 2015 Hope everything is alright with your knee... funny enough i'm also making an appointment with the Drs about my right knee however ive always had problems with my knees but it went for years and now its come back..... -.- RE: What's annoying you today? My knees are knackered thanks to not having any idea until i was 40 that my feet had collapsed and were causing my knees to bend inwards. Might be worth you trying out some arch support gel insoles for shifts when you're on your feet. RE: What's annoying you today? Its not bad price for it, as i can use it on everything in Tyne & Wear... Its costing me £5800 for the course ... on top of my 17k debt already so only 3 years at uni its costing me 22k+ and i still need to add my other loan on from this year (not confirmed how much).. Glad its a 1 year course though and my last.... haha RE: What's annoying you today? Got to love the Job Centre. They can't find you proper paid work, but can somehow always find people a role where they are forced to work for free. Wankers. What's annoying you today? V3 - Jimmi - 21 Aug 2015 Hope your okay Adam. I also can have problems with my knees on occasions but thankfully I haven't really had any problems with mine recently thankfully but when I have a bad day with them, it's a bad day, the worst was when I was unable to walk properly for about four days after almost falling over a pushchair on a Stagecoach bus in Stockton with the bus carrying three pushchairs and a woman with a tartan shopping trolley all obscuring the aisle and the icing on the cake was it was absolutely ****ing it down on this day so the floor was incredibly slippy and I almost fell to the ground but managed to grab the handrails to prevent this from happening but it had a bad affect on both of my knees and I had to literally drag myself down Stockton High Street in the pouring rain and it took me 15 minutes to get from the other end of the high street to the X66 stand then I really struggled to board the bus as the bus was not lowered and the pavement is really low. They dont help you find work full-stop anyway, merely palm you off onto various things the government say you have to do in hope of getting you sanctioned so they dont have to pay you benefits, basically if I reject a placement because I want do something else, then I will get sanctioned according to a letter I received in regards to community work, it is absolutely disgusting. Adam Hills had a good rant about that, tonight. RE: What's annoying you today? V3 - omnicity4659 - 22 Aug 2015 Nearly got killed on the Metro yesterday, I boarded at Hebburn... I moved seats after an argument broke out behind me after a mother gave her child a cigarette. Then someone got on while on the phone saying he wasn't allowed to use the Metro, go to Newcastle, Gateshead or Sunderland under something or other. Subway is ridiculous and customer service is non existent. The QuayLink announcements are over the top, two announcements per stop then announces the next stop once we arrived at the previous stop... StreetLites are crap. Shields Ferry is rubbish. Service 333 is beyond belief. And service 19 required me to make a pit stop at Bedlington after I nearly passed out on board. V3 - citaro5284 - 22 Aug 2015 (22 Aug 2015, 11:14 am)GX03 SVC wrote Nearly got killed on the Metro yesterday, I boarded at Hebburn... It announces the next stop once the doors are closed, if the bus does not stop, it announces it 60 metres from the stop it has just passed. Reason each stop is announced twice is that you announce the next stop, but then the bus stops at a traffic light or junction, the person with little eye sight could think the bus has arrived at the stop, stand up and then when the bus pulls away, goes arse over tit. There is always a reason why things are done RE: What's annoying you today? I use the Q3 very often and when you leave Waggonway Drive the screens work but the announcements are silent until it says 'Great Parkkk' 'Sir Bobby Robson Way' RE: What's annoying you today? The audio is attached to the slide for Great Park Park & Ride towards St Peter's Basin and works fine in the office, but doesn't seem to work on the bus. Heading to Waggonway Drive, the same slide works fine. 'Tis bizarre. RE: What's annoying you today? V3 - NK53 TKT - 22 Aug 2015 (22 Aug 2015, 3:05 pm)Dan wrote We are still investigating this one.
