(Newcastle v Sunderland) Sunderland won 1-0. RE: 2014-15 Football Season(Who will be the best North East Team) - LeeCalder - 05 Apr 2015 Obviously Carver has a lot to blame but the players have to take a lot of the blame also. I think some of the foreign players don't understand the magnitude of this game! The only players on the pitch (for NUFC) that looked interested were Jonas Gutierrez and Ryan Taylor RE: 2014-15 Football Season(Who will be the best North East Team) - MurdnunoC - 05 Apr 2015 (05 Apr 2015, 6:40 pm)leestransportphotos wrote Obviously Carver has a lot to blame but the players have to take a lot of the blame also. The only players on the pitch (for NUFC) that looked interested were Jonas Gutierrez and Ryan Taylor Or, as a counterpoint, one might argue that some overstate the magnitude of this game. At the end of the day - a derby is a derby. As well as this country derbies happen in other parts of the world too. Why would a foreign player not understand the concept of a derby? Why is the Tyne-Wear derby more important than any other derby? RE: 2014-15 Football Season(Who will be the best North East Team) - LeeCalder - 05 Apr 2015 To be honest I wouldn't know.... Because I don't really care! I'm from Gateshead not Newcastle and support my local team (Gateshead) RE: 2014-15 Football Season(Who will be the best North East Team) - Malarkey - 05 Apr 2015 Derby Day wouldnt be complete without this now would it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=738jXIZEvIo&feature=youtu.be RE: 2014-15 Football Season(Who will be the best North East Team) - Adrian - 05 Apr 2015 (05 Apr 2015, 8:50 pm)Malarkey wrote Derby Day wouldnt be complete without this now would it. I often think back to the 09/10 season when they had been hammered in a pee-season game (Leyton Orient I think it was) and the players who gave a toss, voiced their concerns and let rip - seemed to galvanise the team. Those who didn't, went on their way and haven't done much since. It is strange, that not long after arriving, Pardew got rid of each and every one of those players. He replaced them, with more gifted, but arguably less passionate individuals. (06 Apr 2015, 10:35 am)MrFozz wrote John Sitton has to be up there somewhere... Bobby Saxton was Jim Smiths assistant at Newcastle and was known for his language. RE: 2014-15 Football Season(Who will be the best North East Team) - LeeCalder - 06 Apr 2015 One of the worst manager temperaments I've ever seen is Steve Bleasdale who was Peterbourgh's manager in the show 'Big Ron Manager' - He resigned 1 hour before a game!
