RE: Go North East: 2016/17 Financial Year Order Predictions - Simmy - 26 Aug 2016 My two pence is that the pink solos could be for the 61 at Deptford. The 61 could join the Indigo East Durham brand so that there is a common brand in use around Seaham (excluding the drifter) and Murton. Would be stupid as the 61 gets a few passengers on RE: Go North East: 2016/17 Financial Year Order Predictions - GuyParkRoyal - 26 Aug 2016 (26 Aug 2016, 12:39 am)South Tyne Lad wrote They did in the past, But at the current time this is the biggest model they have, Measuring 9.25m When did they stop doing the 9.9m version? Is the red version a spare for them? RE: Go North East: 2016/17 Financial Year Order Predictions - JP6004 - 26 Aug 2016 (26 Aug 2016, 5:35 pm)Michael wrote Is the red version a spare for them? Well the Venture, Indigo ED didnt have red spares as they were only the minibus routes based at that depot, so they just received branded spares. Since the 82/82A/83/85/86 are the only minibus routes at washy, perhaps their spares will be branded also...? Maybe the red ones could be for 33/38 at Deptford? As they look more like the red on the non corp solars... RE: Go North East: 2016/17 Financial Year Order Predictions - Dan - 26 Aug 2016 (26 Aug 2016, 5:35 pm)Michael wrote Is the red version a spare for them? I would not expect to see a spare vehicle for a PVR of 7. Comms have gone out to drivers at Washington confirming that services 82/82A/82B and 83 will be branded as "indiGo" with brand new buses. I would suggest that the red Solos are to upgrade another service. No - my bad. Evening 82/83 will be operated by the new Solo (currently MPD - running off daytime 85/86 - as these are more reliable and fuel-efficient than the Merits allocated during the day). It's the Sunday 85/86 which will be operated by the new Solo. The evening 85/86 will remain as operated by Riverside, with red Solo. The "Nexus" branded examples at Riverside are currently in the process of being repainted. 626: http://www.northeastbuses.co.uk/NEB/news/?id=2042 633: http://www.northeastbuses.co.uk/NEB/news/?id=2043 Keep me right... How many red ones are they getting? RE: Go North East: 2016/17 Financial Year Order Predictions - G-CPTN - 26 Aug 2016 As someone who never sees a Nexus-branded bus (up the Tyne Valley), why are these vehicles being repainted into GNE livery? I thought that the long-term plan for Tyneside was to have all Nexus buses? RE: Go North East: 2016/17 Financial Year Order Predictions - Tom - 26 Aug 2016 Wonder if the red Solos are for the 39 as Dan mentioned there was a reason the Solos hasn't been branded on there RE: Go North East: 2016/17 Financial Year Order Predictions - Michael - 26 Aug 2016 (26 Aug 2016, 8:34 pm)Tom wrote Wonder if the red Solos are for the 39 as Dan mentioned there was a reason the Solos hasn't been branded on there I don't think they would be big enough, peak times even more so but that's like most services. While i'm wondering, might as well ask... what length are they? If the red Solo Sr's are for the 39, wonder where the "Red" Solar's will go?, what other services have a PVR of 7, which don't have new buses? Edit: Missed out "Of 7" RE: Go North East: 2016/17 Financial Year Order Predictions - Tom - 26 Aug 2016 (26 Aug 2016, 8:40 pm)Michael wrote I don't think they would be big enough, peak times even more so but that's like most services. Unless some of the Sunderland buses are going to be branded the same and they launch them all together and maybe add WiFi to the Solars? No idea, Dan also mentioned that the 61 isn't down as "Simplicity" due to the versa's being temporary or something like that...so the Solo's could be for the 61. No idea on the passengers numbers though Means 5 versa'c can move on to the 38/238 replacing more MPD's. I couldn't see the 61 with Solos like RE: Go North East: 2016/17 Financial Year Order Predictions - BFK - 26 Aug 2016 (26 Aug 2016, 8:57 pm)Tom wrote I couldn't see the 61 with Solos like The 238 can't operate with Versa's as they are too big for Northlea in Seaham and parts of Hall Lane in Houghton. I'd hazard a guess that they are to replaced MPD's on this service since the MPD's at Deptford aren't he most reliable shall we say. RE: Go North East: 2016/17 Financial Year Order Predictions - Michael - 27 Aug 2016 Any idea when the first of the Solo's will arrive at SM?
