World Cup Fantasy Football - Adrian - 06 Jun 2014

Right folks. There was a bit of interest when I first mentioned it, so I've set up a Fantasy Football league for the World Cup. You can enter by doing the following.
  • Go to https://www.dreamteamfc.com/team/select/
  • Select "I'm New"
  • Give your team a name, select your players to budget
  • Enter your email address and select that you're over 18 Huh, then hit submit team.
  • Ensure that the free option is selected.

Once you've done this, you'll have the option to join a league. The NEB league PIN is 8156145, and the league password is leyland.

There's no rules as such. You won't be able to see anyone's team until after the first game week is over (i.e. all 1st fixtures are played from all eight groups). I'd recommend people didn't give their teams away until after this, as transfers are unlimited until then.

I will distribute some #NEBPoints to the top 3 at the end of the tournament.

1st - 30 Points
2nd - 20 Points
3rd - 10 Points

In a bid to get more people involved, I'll also gift the winner either a 1 day BuzzFare ticket (to one zone of your choosing), or a 1 day Get Around ticket. Obviously you'll have to give me your key card number via PM to top it up if you win.

No cash alternative available, yadda yadda.. Smile

Done!

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - Andreos1 - 07 Jun 2014

Sorted Big Grin

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - MurdnunoC - 07 Jun 2014

My original team-name was rejected because of a 'banned word'.

I really don't understand why either 'Shatner's' or 'Bassoon' would be deemed as being offensive?

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - Adrian - 07 Jun 2014

Mine was renamed for me.

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - Tom - 13 Jun 2014

As it stands, Constantopolous Fc is in the lead with eight points, with Taxi for Mista Fozz following behind with seven points. Team Cake is in third place with three points, and the rest of us have no points at all!

Yeah, I saw, Thank god for old Oscar otherwise I would be in the red Wink I managed to figure out my details, just sent a password request to every e-mail address what I use Wink

I hope Andreos Iniesta does the business for me tonight

By the way Aurelion, if I win this thing, what do I win(I probs won't though, I rarely win anything), a buzzfare is no use to me as I am Concessionary Pass holder, so if I win will it go to second or can I set like a tie break question to see decide it Wink

Champion!
That is with having Marcelo in the team too!

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - MrFozz - 13 Jun 2014

Hoping Andres Iniesta and Cesar Azpilicueta have a good game tonight...

Hope there is no repeat of the 2010 final when Holland were kicking the shit out of the Spanish

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - Adrian - 13 Jun 2014

I've got Casillas in goal. Big Grin

I nearly went for Casillas opted for Courtois instead, but I have Iniesta and Azpilicueta...

Holland have completely outclassed Spain, I have never seen Spain be dominated like that for years

I was tempted to pick Robben too Undecided

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - MrFozz - 13 Jun 2014

Well I hope CR7 and Messi don't let me down and if Belgium to how people expect from them, then Courtois will hopefully do some good

You have Pique too Wink

Was looking at the Dutch midfielders, but didn't fancy them going far - before tonight...

I went for a different striker this time, Columbian Bacca. Based on the fact they have fairly easy games, with plenty of opportunities to score. It was Ivory Coast and Greece (who they play tomorrow) but can't remember who else. Went for the France Goalkeeper Lloris, and Debuchy/Evra in defence, as France also have easy games so far. I was tempted to go for Casillas in goal, but decided to go for someone different!

Re: World Cup Fantasy Football - MrFozz - 14 Jun 2014

So Andreos is well ahead with Tom in 2nd, DanPick 3rd followed by Mr Young and Myself joint 4th. Aurelion must have strong shoulders, propping up the rest of us in last place with Minus points with Mr Cooper and Mr Malarkey making up 6th and 7th

Playing FIFA on my phone, if only this could be the result tonight, would do the world of good for my dream team, Henderson scored a hat trick [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - Andreos1 - 14 Jun 2014

How are people doing overall?
Despite doing ok in the two mini-leagues, I am placed 343198th on the leaderboard.

A quick look at the leaderboard reveals those near the top, have in excess of 60(!) points!
