RE: Double Decker on a farm at Winlaton - Coppercap40 - 12 Apr 2015 Yes that is the one RE: Double Decker on a farm at Winlaton - MurdnunoC - 12 Apr 2015 I tried to get the reg of the vehicle but my view was obstructed by a cement truck parked in front. I went round the perimeter to see if it was visible from another vantage point but to no avail. If nobody gets there before me, I'll try again sometime this week. New to Leicester Corporation, it came to Busways in 1988 (one of a pair, the other was CJF72C), intended as driver trainers. However, the conversion was never done and the bus was stored till Stagecoach took control of Busways, when it was sold to the present owner. It's been there for about 20 years now, sometimes under cover though. I don't know if any restoration work has been done on it. Hope that helps. It had moved from the location shown on the map into the gap where the white van is facing. I imagine moving a vehicle of that size within a yard that small would be quite difficult using either tow trucks or manual labour so I presume the owner has had the bus running at some point.
