Might be the wrong place to put this but does anyone know what type of vehicles are on the 300/301 between Stevenage and St Albans? And also how much is a day ticket for this service, I'm fancying doing it on my weeks holiday from work

Quite a bit in the wrong place.
You're wanting Hertfordshire if you're after a bus in Stevenage. Herefordshire is a few miles west, on the Welsh border!
