DRT Airport Shuttle for Areas not Served by the Metro or where a taxi is quicker.
Use a load of EVM sprinters and charge good fares, may even compete with taxis.

I've reworked a couple of old ideas i put in the GNE Suggestions thread for any of the Independents. Total PVR is 3 for the X7, 2 for X16/X17 & Not Sure for I1/i2.
Would also ideas on software or styles that would improve thiese timetables.

Here’s one from left field.
An all night service covering all the Metro Stations. Ran by Nexus, cheaper than running trains and allowing them to do the necessary overnight maintenance they do. Could be an hourly service.
Would maybe encourage the other operators to run all night services from the various interchanges to areas not covered by the metro

Might want to have a look into a timings a bit as I'm guessing your planning to use the A1, if so you'll really stuggle to get from Washington to Newcastle in 22 minutes at rush hour there's a few bottlenecks; the A1 itself, Bensham Bank, Sainsburys R'bout at Team Valley, the roundabout off the A1 onto Wessington Way (dunno it's name).
The X32 has 17 minutes to get from Gateshead to Team Valley Retail World (thereabouts) and 27 minutes to Ouston (which is closer and has a clear run after Sainsburys) to give an idea of what it needs. Then the 939 is 14/17 minutes depending on direction from Washington to Team Valley (the first bus stop closest to the A1).

Idea for Merger of GNE Services 5, 50, 34 and also SNE 17 (South Shields)
Would provide 8 buses an hour between South Shields, Chichester, Whiteleas & Boldon

New Service X9: Whitley Bay - Briardene - Whitley Lodge - Red House Farm - Northumberland Park - Cobalt (Peaks Only) - Benton ASDA - Coach Lane Campus - Newcastle - Metrocentre - Washington Galleries - Lambton - Ayton - Chester-Le-Street.
I've worked out that it would a journey time of about 2 hours.

I've made a start at trying to work out what all the north east bus numbers, brands and routes would be if they were all operated by one company or council.
If anyone has any suggestions of tweaks they think I should make or if you would like to modify the attachment yourself please let me know.

I would like to a see an commercial service based independent pop up, maybe on routes that would only need a baby solo. I would do it in Washington, Birtley, Gateshead, etc...
