Rural Link / L & B Travel - tyresmoke - 16 Feb 2021 L & B Travel and Rural Link (formerly PCL Travel) appear to be somehow linked together so thought one thread for both would probably be a good idea. Apparently Rural Link are covering the 585 Ferry Replacement on behalf of Gateshead CT with Tridents LV52HHW & LX03ORK out today. The former in Travel de Courcey livery and latter is in a green & yellow base. RE: Rural Link / L & B Travel - MichealAaron - 16 Feb 2021 Covering GCT that doesn't surprise me. Why arnt they doing it RE: Rural Link / L & B Travel - Tyne_Traveller - 16 Feb 2021 Saw these two vehicles on A1 last Friday, they turned off and headed over the Scotswood Bridge before heading towards Blaydon. I had wondered if that's where they were heading. RMF1254 - RMF1254 - 17 Feb 2021 Got shots of these two today at the Ferry in North Shields while having a walk along the Fish Quay. I wouldn’t have thought they would be covering GCT on the 585, previously it has been operated by GNE or Arriva. RE: Rural Link / L & B Travel - Charles41 - 18 Feb 2021 They also have another decker in L&B Travel livery. It's a W prefix registration but I can't remember the full plate. Their yard is well worth a look in. So is the former PCL yard just down the road. I went up to the bus station so I could get a photo of it coming out (sun in the wrong place at Wentworth) and it failed to show up after waiting for it for about 10–15 minutes. So I went back to Wentworth to find that it had disappeared and failed to observe the bus station which is stated on the timetable I have attached below, this isn’t the first time they’ve done this and probably won’t be the last. Rural Link / PCL / whatever name this week has been having bother up in Morpeth and Hexham for years now. I know they lost one of their licences but just transferred them to another one. https://northeastbuses.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=876&page=42 - That's the old thread for them. One of the Green L&B E200s seem to appear too (or a Solo), don't be too surprised if a van appears. Rural Link / L & B Travel - Jimmi - 11 Jan 2023 Following on from their recent withdrawal from service 882 (replaced by service 682 operated by Go North East), the Tuesday only supported services 613 & 885 are now showing as being cancelled on their Rural Link registrations, effective January 31st: https://www.vehicle-operator-licensing.service.gov.uk/search/bus/search/?search=PB2021997&security=2134c2d92bd85c816008ba27d98f8bdc-293a3fb293d030dbc5898a4a1010a1cd&text%5Bsearch%5D=PB2021997 There's no registration visible for Friday service 815 so unsure of the status of that one, Nexus still showing a timetable for it currently however. RE: Rural Link / L & B Travel - Ex-conductor - 07 Feb 2023 Is there any news of replacement operators for the 613 and 885? I am aware that they have disappeared from the Nexus website but can't find any updates. Nexus are still showing the 815, but does anyone know if that service is under threat?
