So apparently the Explorer ticket is allowed on the 685 between Newcastle and Carlisle but then says "Valid stagecoach buses within Carlisle" does anyone actually know which buses the ticket is valid on

I used an explorer once to get from Carlisle city centre out to Kingmoor - driver on the way accepted it no problem, one on way back needed a bit of convincing it was valid though!
