Port Of Tyne Shuttle Buses - Aaron21 - 28 Jul 2022
Starting a thread here for all the times there is a cruise ship in the Port Of Tyne.
The shuttle runs every 30 minutes between Port Of Tyne near the DFDS landing & Tynemouth Metro (not this week due to the road closure)
Percy Main run the shuttle using Single deckers. It is usually two but a possible of three of them needed. If two ships are in at the same time. The shuttle buses up the count to 7 as was the case on Sunday
They are on tomorrow from 10am to 5pm between Port Of Tyne near DFDS landing & Tynemouth

It depends on the needs of each respective cruise that comes in. Just because it does something one day, doesn't mean it be the same the next, though probably a shuttle to Newcastle is likely with it being the nearest City. Other locations will be probably done a random.

Sometimes its just internal shuttles from the quay to the terminal. Sometimes its to tynemouth as said. All depends on ship size to the pvr. Ive seen 10 buses before for 1 ship.

I stand corrected; I saw one this morning turning right from Coach Lane to Albion Road in North Shields. Good to see the Tynemouth are is benefitting from Port of Tyne passengers.

The internal shuttles are for transferring passengers from the terminal to the ship.
