Arriva Northumbria early days (2000 - 2005) - Petet1724 - 30 Oct 2025

Hi All,

I am new here my name is Peter for some reason I put T instead of R in my username opps. I thought this may be the place to ask if anybody has any surviving photos of Arriva Northumbria V724 DNL when it was in it's shortish lived blue livery the Manor Walks Shopping Centre one? After spening years looking on the internet for a picture of it in said livery to no avail I seen some pictures here from bygone days and wondered if it may be worth asking other's to note would be the earlier NMS special liveries and 1701 in it's Tesco express livery though there is a few of that about you never know unless you ask other's of note would be 1702 in it's Go Wansbeck wrap and the Red and Blue Pennine livery that 372 carried?. Other's such as 855 in the blue livery and hugo the hippo and who could forget Seaside Sammy!

Thanks for taking time to read this if anybody could help would be amazing!

Regardsm Pete.

I remember this one!!! Seen a photo on ebay a few years back of it parked up at Eldon Square......and also remember riding this on the 308 when Blyth had it.....before the rest of 7370-76 came over, some still carrying the 602 branding & NMS livery but with the then new 4 digit fleet numbers & Wayfarer 3 ticket machines!

Ironically at the same time, GNE/Coastline also introduced 3830-33 onto the 308 around mid-2000 replacing the Leyland Olympians!

I totally remember the thing i've seen 2 pictures of it that are on the NMS Facebook group I remember getting it on the EX1 one morning with my mam and it always stuck in my mind I thought it was red and blue triangles until I saw the pictures and realized it was big P''s others of note which i've found pictures of are the Newcastle Arena olympian Blyth had it for a while as I got that with my mam as a kid of 12 and then one i've never seen but one photo of the FE Maurghan Metrorider not 855 the one nobody liked bar me haha the MCW one which nobody knew exsisted until a picture surficed of it on the NMS FB Group but i've found another one of it links below,

Olympian 423: https://www.flickr.com/photos/nebp2/54786476265/in/pool-2764202@N21/

Metrorider 825: https://www.flickr.com/photos/nebp2/54786476265/in/pool-2764202@N21/

There's so much on flickr there is some pictures of 1702 in the Go Wansbeck livery but again it happens where allot of photos are not named with their registration or fleet so it's not a case of just typing in V724 DNL and finding a ultra rare picture of it in blue manor walks livery because nothing comes up but there may be one hiding deep down somewhere online.

Regards, Pete.
