Only benefit they have had under Franchising thus far is with Transport For Wales (Traws Cymru) which is also progressing further into Franchising in 2027. Guess time will tell if there awarded anything in future Tranches in Merseyside and West Yorkshire, god knows what will happen here in the North East when the time comes to it but would likely see them losing again. Unfortunately investing millions of pounds in New Buses over the same period isn't going to change the poor quality service that Arriva offer. Tees and District probably does OK. But, if you don't live in Leicester or Derby, then Midlands is pretty poor. Kent and Surrey are a basket case. Beds and Bucks does OK, but the reputation in Milton Keynes is in the toilet What else is there? Can see some of the ops being sold off or closed down like what happened in Aylesbury and High Wycombe. |
