When you think about it, this trip is potentially half the cost of what we are proposing, and we intend on going to Scotland rather than staying in the North East and travelling to a bus depot. Not bad at all really. May be a smaller price when you look at it now, but when you look at the bigger picture and compare it to the likes of a trip to Scotland...! Of course I am not knocking this trip and intend on going myself. Just putting it out there for those who may have thought 20 quid was expensive RE: Henry Coopers - Malarkey - 20 Jan 2014 (20 Jan 2014, 10:35 pm)Dan wrote In relation to the cost and the NEB Day Trips... It really isn't that bad, Just at the Cost for York Per Person if there was over 30 of us, But will admit that I doubt that many would need go on these trips, hence why I suggested using a Taxi Firm or GL Minibuses as I think they'd be Cheaper if there was only 10-15 of us. Not sure why, but I'd assume NX/NH... Very much getting towards the summer season now so you'll start to see more and more operators appearing on National Holidays work (and David Urquhart, Omega Holidays, Newmarket etc) alongside the liveried coaches. Monday and Friday are big departure days, indeed the afternoon's see the return legs of the previous departures. They also have some 2-day's on Saturday and also odd departures on other days but Monday and Friday morning its not unheard of to see 25-30 coaches in a couple of hours. The other four are ex-Tower Transit. The driver of the tour said that the ex-Tower Transit vehicles would be sold to a "mobile café" type business based in London. There is already a thread for Henry Cooper in the Northumberland part of the forum. With them being based in Northumberland. Not Tyne & Wear. https://northeastbuses.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=550 RE: Henry Coppers Coaches - Micheal Aaron - 04 Jul 2021 Ah my bad. To be honest, I was picturing the depot and thought it was on the south side of the Moor farm roundabout. So within T&W. However, when I looked on the website, they give their address as Cramlington - which is in Northumberland. https://www.henrycoopercoaches.com/contact Guessing it is one of those 'right on the border' controversial type addresses, that use the closest post town in the address, which is often in another county. So within T&W. Yeah it will be, all the villages around Seaton Valley / Annitsford / Dudley are all over the place. Dudley, Annitsford and Burradon are all NE23 which are Northumberland but they're in North Tyneside, Seaton Delaval, New Hartley and Seaton Sluice are all NE25/NE26 and are all Tyne and Wear but they're all Northumberland. It's where I'm from. Phone numbers are a mess aswell as they're all 0191 which is the Tyneside number rather than 01670 which is SE Northumberland for the Seaton Valley villages. RE: Henry Coppers Coaches - omnicity4659 - 04 Jul 2021 Annitsford is in North Tyneside according to the Ordinance Survey election map, placing Henry Cooper in Tyne and Wear. The border with Northumberland is the A189, so literally the back fence of the depot. RE: Henry Coppers Coaches - MurdnunoC - 04 Jul 2021 I thought this thread was about Henry Coppers, not Henry Coopers. If so, then no prior thread exists in any part of the forum. I quite like Henry Coppers to be fair. Cheap fares of only 1p or 2p and a special discount available for police personnel. The only downside is that they don't accept silver or gold coins. |
