(02 Mar 2018, 4:26 pm)Andreos1 To be honest, those were thoughts I had and I presume most punters too.
The ANE post doesnt make it very clear though and with the lack of radio contact with the drivers will only add to any confusion or mickey taking.

I still think it's a cracking idea.

Although I can live with a few gripes that Arriva may bring about, this is something that should seriously be looked at.

Friday night (2.3.18) saw Pulsar 1508 being returned backwards to Darlington depot courtesy of a tow truck. Front drivers side had taken an impact. Skirt, front and side panels will all need renewing!

If musings on 'Travel West Yorkshire' forum are to be found correct, it seems the Gemini swaps aren't the only Yorkshire vehicles destined for the region....

Just followed a 23 branded Streetlite on a diverted 306 up Chuchill St tonight. Registration ended in either EEF or EEP.

Them along with the 2 Solos returning from Selby. Many other moves potentially in the pipeline apparently.

Today I saw 1525&1527 Gemini 2s
(I believe it was them 2) and it got me thinking. As the 308 was a max route or still sort of is i wonder if that could mean they are getting new buses? This could then leave the Gemini 2s to Replace older Gemini 1s.

Following the entry into service of the new Streetlites at Darlington, 1462/63/65 and 1507 have transferred to Belmont. 1574 and 1575 have both consequently transferred to Jesmond.

(01 Mar 2018, 7:20 pm)Kuyoyo Due to ongoing driver shortages at Darlington, Stockton will be taking operating of 2 X66/X67 turns from Monday.
There have been shortages many times over the years with drivers borrowed from other depots. It seems most companies are suffering problems with staff retention. It is a difficult job with very tight scheduling, reduced terms and conditions for new staff,a much more customer focused role [being the referee between pushchair and wheelchair users as highlighted by posts we see] a very complex range of tickets. On top of this there are customers which are highly prized by the management who not only cheat wherever they can but complain about the driver if caught out and can be very aggressive and intimidating. I have worked in the industry since 1973 and seen many changes but would not take this up as a career under the current situation. In Darlingtons case it was  considered as the "problem child" when Mr. Knox became M.D. and the manager was changed many non customer focussed drivers left or were sacked the fleet was upgraded. The depot became depot of the month many times with top results so should be a great place to work and somewhere that drivers would want to work. So why do they not stay? My opinion is that the day to day operational roles e.g. detailer and traffic officers are still the same and from experience I have to say they were the worst I have ever worked with

This makes me feel so good - being blamed for the issues at Darlington. Beaten from all angles when I am literally killing myself working endless hours trying to cover work.

Only leaves 1461, 1498 and 1506 to go to Durham. 1461 is currently in the naughty bus corner at Darlington again.

Are 1508 - 1511 remaining for the 8?

(12 Mar 2018, 8:26 am)S830OFT Are 1508 - 1511 remaining for the 8?

At present 1424 and 1508 to 1511 are remaining mostly for the 8. I suspect one will leave when 4813 returns to service

4813 - Wiseyarriva - 12 Mar 2018

IMAN Ecocity 4813 which suffered major rear End accident damage last year returned from body repairs on Thorntons low loader today to Darlington and was promptly dispatched to MAN at Stockton
