RE: Tender Discussion Thread - Michael - 31 May 2016 (31 May 2016, 7:42 pm)biglugs@yahoo.com If the compass 8x is up for tender id hate to see a operator alike kingsleys or go north east as the volkswagen struggles in some streets upon south hylton. Same for Stagecoach, however i would like to see them run it due to them running the 8 during the day. RE: Tender Discussion Thread - Michael - 31 May 2016 (31 May 2016, 7:36 pm)Andreos1 The long 38 (in theory), would have worked well with the 168. Both terminate about a mile from each other the way the roads work (basically opposite sides of the dual carriageway as the crow flies). Ye, i was thinking of another service too but now i can't think haha RE: Tender Discussion Thread - biglugs@yahoo.com - 31 May 2016 (31 May 2016, 7:46 pm)Michael Same for Stagecoach, however i would like to see them run it due to them running the 8 during the day. Theyd have to get solos from Cumbria to run that service RE: Tender Discussion Thread - Ambassador - 31 May 2016 Was the 33/33A up for tender separately last time? Continually surprised this is renewed , it carries thin air 99% of the time. Guessing it's politics of the well heeled variety keeping this one going RE: Tender Discussion Thread - Michael - 02 Jun 2016 (31 May 2016, 9:56 pm)Ambassador Was the 33/33A up for tender separately last time? Gerra way man, they have been a roaring success story. Look at how many of the services which were supported by Nexus, that are now commercially viable services. RE: Tender Discussion Thread - NK53 TKT - 02 Jun 2016 (31 May 2016, 4:10 pm)Dan Details of some below:Very, very good, the 13 is certainly a challenging route due to the tiny roads it goes down, I assume the three buses freed up by the loss of Whitley Bay will go for the 13 and 168, while two Versa size buses will be needed for the 33 RE: Tender Discussion Thread - biglugs@yahoo.com - 02 Jun 2016 (02 Jun 2016, 9:31 am)NK53 TKT Very, very good, the 13 is certainly a challenging route due to the tiny roads it goes down, I assume the three buses freed up by the loss of Whitley Bay will go for the 13 and 168, while two Versa size buses will be needed for the 33 Riverside should send 557 as it fits the 168 contract and keep a solo for the asda RE: Tender Discussion Thread - NK53 TKT - 02 Jun 2016 (02 Jun 2016, 9:55 am)biglugs@yahoo.com Riverside should send 557 as it fits the 168 contract and keep a solo for the asda I will reveal my masterplan in the 'Service Suggestions' thread after all the streetlites are in service RE: Tender Discussion Thread - Dan - 02 Jun 2016 The contract for the Sunderland Connect 700/701 services is up for renewal this year. Sunderland City Council will provide 3 low-carbon hybrid vehicles in a dedicated livery to operate this contract. The use of these vehicles will be subject to a separate agreement between the successful contractor and Sunderland City Council. The details of vehicles to be provided are as follows:-
It should be noted that it is extremely likely that these vehicles will need to be re-painted during the term of this contract. The contract will require the successful bidder to operate a term-time timetable (17th September 2016 until 7th July 2017) and a separate summer timetable (8th July 2017 to 2nd September 2017).
