(23 Nov 2016, 12:40 pm)GMitchelhill Running nearly 20 mins late apparently. I'm stood at Testos waiting for it.Just left Peterlee Bus Station at 12:57, left Middlesbrough just over 10 minutes late and arrived around 20 minutes late. We got stuck for ages at the level crossing in Billingham (Newcastle bound).

From Go North East's Facebook:
Regrettably, the 15:00 X9 from Middlesbrough is delayed. The following X10 at 15:30 will run both X9 & X10 routes northbound.
This is the working that 9098 should have been performing.
Had a ride on 9098 from Middlesbrough to Gateshead Interchange. I was actually surprised by it, did better than I thought it would do with it achieving the limited top speed of 62mph (speedometer app I used was indicating a maximum speed of 67mph bit the app probably isn't totally accurate) Although it felt slightly sluggish getting back onto the A19 after Peterlee. It was pretty comfortable as well.
I still feel that it is not a suitable long term vehicle for the X9/X10 and I don't believe any bus currently being manufactured is, really feel some form of coach would be better suited to this route. I do feel that it would be a good buy for any other double decker route that GNE route like the 21 or the Ten. Much nicer to the StreetDeck I've got on the X21 now, not very smooth and rattles from the back upstairs.

(23 Nov 2016, 3:41 pm)TEN 6083 Had a ride to Heworth on it, not bad and seats are the most comfortable I have sat on a bus. Driver kept stalling it at Gateshead or it was cutting out so kept having to restart it not sure exactly what the problem was.Might be wrong but I think it has stop, start technology.

(23 Nov 2016, 4:12 pm)Brian13 When will 9098 next arrive in Heworth Newcastle bound9098 should have been leaving Eldon Square at 16:30 but that's uncertain to happen due to delays, it seemingly was not operating the 15:00 from Middlesbrough due to delays with the 15:30 X10 picking passengers on both the X9 and X10 routes according to GNE's Facebook.
Cheers. When have GNE got it until. Plus when will it bext be near Gateshead?

Its not a bad bus, though I expect I will have the most unique location for a photo of it.

Uncertain about 9099, was at Chester-le-Street heading to Newcastle at around 15:15.

(23 Nov 2016, 3:47 pm)TEN 6083 Yes it's a hybrid (googled it), as some passengers near me thought the engine was cutting out, heard them talking about the bus. Sounded impressed with it by what they were saying.
