They could get 2nd hand B9's... although then again they could of just used a B9 base as they could have spare base plans for a B9 around the depot...

Perhaps they just didn't have the outline of an Omnidekka so used a Gemini instead as it was available. The general public for whom who this FB animation is intended won't know the difference.
