Or go to Newcastle for the X30/X31/X70/X71. Quite likely one that way ratio of omnidekkas to omnicitys is 7:3
Change of driver no showed at The Galleries for the 09:34 X1 to Newcastle due to getting stuck in traffic somewhere, had to divert via Washington Depot to change over.

If they go to Crook temporarily for the X21 I will use it
Went on it at NEPBT in May Tongue

Hahaha!  Tongue

I've also used the X30/31/70/71 three times and got a OmniDekka (6128!), OmniCity and a Olympian (3831)...

Aye, but that might involve an outing into the great unknown Co. Durham.

(I tried to do this on my phone earlier and the crossing out wouldn't cancel, which sort of scuppered my plan!)

correct me if am wrong but am sure the ominicities are staying at Stanley for Toon Link the 4 of them sure Dan can confirm this
I've been meaning to ask this for ages, how long has the 69 displayed 'Blaydon' on it's destination display instead of 'Winlaton?'

I've noticed that too. Possibly the Blaydon and Winlaton programmes have been mixed up? It changed when the routes were updated...

Not sure Bazza, the X30/X31 - both will be every 30 minutes (every 15 minutes on parts of the route) - i don't think 4 would cover the PVR for them, the PVR will be at least 6+ i would imagine.... unless like someone else said the whole ToonLink brand will be changed... although, i think that's a bad idea.

Like Tom said in the Upcoming changes Thread.... the X30/X31/X32 will probables be using the Citaro's....... although the ToonLink will be 2 different shades of colour - Blue and Black, i think the ToonLink will look good on a blue background.... although.... anything can happen.... the Gateshead changes haven't being announced yet.... hopefully well get some more info on allocations when they are released... which should be soon.

Edit: Changed a sentence!

No it won't? The blue citaros are for the 16/16A rather than the X30/X31/X32.

I think the Blaydon Racers PVR could drop by one or two as well, so maybe they could go on the X30/X31/X32 along with the current Diamond ones.

According to the GNE site:

Diamond 16 & 16A - Thought these would of stuck with the orange Citaro's with them being Diamond already and the blue ones will go on to the X30/X31/X32............... along with the current GNE branded ones at Stanley - (GNE branded ones not confirmed but just what i think)

I doubt five will be enough for the 16 and 16A. PVR will probably be about 10 or something.

There's 6 orange ones - but the 2 spares at Stanley could get repainted - also you mentioned the Blaydon Racers PVR could be dropped (not confirmed) meaning a spare Citaro from there to.... at least 9 there.... we'll just have to wait and see...

What ever happens, i'm sure it'll be debated if they made the right allocations...
In yesterday's (30/9) The Chronicle in the "Feedback" section has some moaning cow is whinging about the annoying next-stop announcements on the 309/310 say "Jesmond Corner House" instead of Heaton Corner House...

The Diamond is going to be the ''Durham Diamond'' by the looks of it anyway.

Not keen on the name at all, rather have something totally different than "Durham Diamond".

Not sure on what name i would have though.
On the Toon Link matter: I think it would be logical to assume that it will be Omnicities operating the revised X30/X31/X32 with 5250 and 5253 being repainted black (5254 and 5273 will probably follow). Obviously, 4 won't be enough to cover the PVR so it could be possible that some of the currently branded Omnis will transfer to Stanley.

I hope that they don't get Omnicities but wouldn't it be possible to brand a few Omnidekkas for busier workings as well as the OmniCities?

I think Omnidekkas will be allocated to the X32 runs anyway (running onto 6/X70/X71s at Newcastle). It'd be nice to see some omnicities come back. We can't go Omnicity free!  Smile
The thing that baffles me the most if that the 46 is going to be every 10 minutes between Newcastle and Rowlands Gill. How will that work if it's not the whole route?

The routes are already notorious for 2 running seconds/minutes behind eachother at a 15 minute combined frequency. Doubt they'll add any extra journeys in.

Sadly we don't really know what the changes to the services in the Newcastle area including the Highwayman and current Toon Link services are, so it's hard to guess completely what allocation changes will occur, however if no other services join the Toon Link brand at Riverside I imagine that the PVR on the current Toon Link services would drop with the 31 no longer running via the Metrocentre would probably cut the journey time which should see the PVR drop so I think the above could happen. Alternatively I think a red spare from another depot could possibly be repainted black.

They are it says

Oh aye. Not doubting you on that. Just wondering how they are going to do it as i dont think extra journeys are needed between Rowlands Gill and Metrocentre/Newcastle.

That's what I don't get at all.

If they were every 20 minutes extending to Consett then the times would be dodgy (like the 38 in Tunstall Bank) in places only the 45 or 46 serves, can't think of any other ways they could do it really.

Could the up to 10 minute frequency between Rowlands Gill and Newcastle include the 47?

Ah right yeah forgot about that

Could do (and probably will now youve mentioned it). However, as it didnt mention the 47, it baffld me a bit.
