Bit like Nightengale with ex-GNE 3914. Also, I think it was 504 that had it but has it still got its 'Celebrating 100 years of service' sticker?

(09 May 2014, 4:45 pm)Dan Sold in Part Exchange for new 11.7m Optare Versas using "Optare Direct" last year, former London General articulated Citaros MAL109, MAL113-117 and latterly Go North East 5340, 5343-5346, have been acquired by Brighton & Hove from Optare.

These vehicles have been provisionally assigned the fleet numbers below in the Brighton & Hove fleet, but are subject to change:
  • 119 - BL57 OXK (arrived 18/04/2014)
  • 120 - BP57 UYE (not yet arrived as at 09/05/2014)
  • 121 - BP57 UYF (arrived 30/04/2014)
  • 122 - BP57 UYG (not yet arrived as at 09/05/2014)
  • 123 - BP57 UYH (arrived 30/04/2014)
  • 124 - BP57 UYJ (not yet arrived as at 09/05/2014)

These vehicles are to be converted to two-door configuration and repainted before entering service.

Delivered to Brighton & Hove in 2010/2011, the following similar articulated Citaros have been sold to the Optare Group from Brighton & Hove via Optare Direct likewise:

Arriva 4004 used to be a GNE if you look at the back the green paint is peeling off and reveals the yellow underneath

Yes, all of the S--- ONL DAFs are ex-GNE. Got transferred to Arriva through the Ashington + Hexham depot swap.

And they all have yellow overspray visible in areas it shouldn't be, like the inside of the emergency exit, can tell they were sprayed cheaply.

I dont think they all are,cus many moons ago i remember them being new to arriva and on the old M55 some are in arriva original colours but i could be wrong so dont quote me on it haha

They are 4001-7 in the Arriva fleet, though only 4 remain in service now, and all are due to be withdrawn imminently.
