Temsa 4713 going to Whitby on the 1000 X4. Must be short of Pulsars or daren't put anything else on.
4720 going to Whitby on the 1100 ex Redcar,
1739/43 and 3044 are running about so must be short?

Even shorter now as 1432 has come in as a failure on the 1130 X4 to Boro and had to be replaced by 4702 taken of a 63 working.

MUST be short if they've resurrected a Leyland National!

.
I had the delights of 4062 on 17A for 3 hours. Also spotted was 2864 on the X66 and 7477 on X1 again.
Don't understand where we're getting a National from. ?
That must have been deep joy, Scott? But then you could be at Redcar? 1743 and 1102 ( I think) on 63's ! 1429 still in limp mode on 81's! Get the impression they were struggling this morning?

They struggle every morning lol... Nothing new there - we've got stuff off the road too but never as many as Redcar do!

Please note, the fleet numbers of the Prestiges begin with 40.. not 30.. Therefore you saw 4044 running about not 3044. NOTE: THERE ARE NO BUSES CURRENTLY IN THE ANE FLEET BEGINNING WITH THE FLEET NUMBERS 30..
Thanks Peter, my mistake! Whoops! And Roland. Sorry.
Speaking of Prestiges - are they normally on the x17?
If they aren't, champion. There is one on tonight.

If they are, it was struggling and even more noisy than a Daf normally is - particularly on the stretch of A19 it uses.

No, all 6 PM workings should be Cadets. I would assume the one you spotted will have been 4062 as the 1720 and 1750 departures from Middlesbrough to Kingsmead work off 17As.

To add to that, the following is the X17 PM workings:

1625 Middlesbrough-Kingsmead: xx40 27 (runs light from Netherfields and then runs light to the depot from Kingsmead)
1645 Middlesbrough-Sober Hall: xx55 27 (runs light from Netherfields, works the 1717 17 from Sober Hall back into Middlesbrough then onto the 1805 27 to Overfields)
1700 Middlesbrough-Kingsmead: xx20 17b (light from Thornaby Centre off the 1620 short, returns from Kingsmead as 1810 17)
1720 Middlesbrough-Kingsmead: Works off the 1636 17a from Stockton (works light to Stockton High Street upon arrival at Kingsmead for Driver's break)
1735 Middlesbrough-Sober Hall: xx50 17b (light from Thornaby Centre off the 1650 short, light to the depot from Sober Hall)
1750 Middlesbrough-Kingsmead: works off the 1706 17a from Stockton (light to depot from Kingsmead)
Just a thought? With the expected demise of the ArrivaNE Prestiges over the next 12 - 18 (?) months is anyone going to preserve one ?

Oof, let's hope gtom does not see this post! Tongue
Must assume he's s preservation guru? I vote we keep 4062 from Stockton?

He is our resident DAF appreciation officer.
You should PM him and ask what his thoughts are on preserving one.
Pretty sure he would prefer an ex GNE example -very close to his heart and he spent many an hour sat on one.

Didn't mind having it today but god no, 4030 is the one to have. Oldest one still going, and very nice it is too. Only set on fire 3(?) times
Love it Scott, cheered me up. Who thought is 'gtom?' Want to PM him but it won't let me ?

He used to like drinking in The Market Tavern in Chester le Street.
He spent many an hour in there watching the Daf's fly in and out of South Burns - working out how they interworked with a 34 on a Sunday, but moved not long before they were withdrawn.

Nowadays, he is stuck with The Cannon in Low Fell and has the endless sight (and long gaps) of the 21 hybrids trundling past him.
He hasn't been the same since the move.
Odd choice for the 5 this morning is Cadet 1910, worked the 0640 from Easington...
4651 is on X93 also!
Must have been the way they were parked Scott! Lol! 4651 ? God bless her! Give her a proper makeover, smashing vehicle.
4655 is also on X93. 1457 is on the 21a.
Maybe, given the weather, it's a wise move having the Scanias on the X93? Gusty winds and all that ?

Forgot that one runs onto 27s so will likely always be a Cadet!
4652 out on 29/29A today

4059 would have ben a good one to save but they stripped that pretty sharpish.

Noticed 4044, 4071 and 4080 all on 63s today.
7501 is on the X21 today, along with 7494. 4501 is operating the 57.
Just seen 7462 on Service 49A.
Pulsar 1493 with 1/X1 Vinyl wrap on Service 1/5.
I know literally nothing about Arriva Durham's fleet numbers and allocations (GNE is my forté) but I'm just wondering what happened to all of the DAFs that used to be used by Stockton on the X2/X1. I only really see Gemini 2s and Pulsar 2s on the X2 at the minute (rarely use it, but I always see it in Chester frequently). It's mainly the deckers over the Pulsars that I see most, but I saw a DAF on the X2 about a month ago. It just seems like they disappeared.

I think that it was decided to use Pulsars on the X1/X2 to improve reliability and passenger comfort.

I think some DAFs were withdrawn and they got Pulsars 1492 back from Darlington and brand new 1512.
