33826 seems to be unaccounted for at the moment. Was parked at the back fences of WA in front of two other examples a couple of weeks ago and no longer there, lacking it on the Alpha lists I have. Assume its in the process somewhere.
Also, the news item
here was as quoted "unconfimed". There is confimed sale list. Your welcome.

It's unconfirmed until Richard Smiles sends out the usual fleet allocation cards. I take the confirmation on those over the word of friends at Wheatsheaf depot, as they can easily get things wrong - the fleet allocation cards don't (usually).
I could have given everyone that list in mid-December as that is when they were sold - they have been awaiting collection since. Have we got visual evidence of this though? No - not yet. Like I said, unconfirmed. Your word is as good as mine, Matt - "Alpha list" or no "Alpha list" - unless you're willing to share such documentation, of course?

All currently withdrawn ALX200s are to be sold to Alpha Recovery, who scrap vehicles.

Any idea where Richard is?, haven't heard from him in a while.

I'm not too sure - he deleted some of his posts after people misunderstood his joke regarding a picture of a bird, and hasn't been online since.
He has still been sending me e-mails with Bygone Era content though.

Unconfimed until Richard sends out his fleetlists?!?! Oh dear.

The point is you didn't, nor was it in the "news", then as soon as I noted them, you got on your high horse.
And no thank you, I'll choose not to share. Nor would I like to play the
HINT game for this years orders which winning depots now know of.
When people tell you to keep quiet about news, thats what you do eh?

It wasn't funny (photo of a bird we see at Christmas and a comment relating to a member).
Saw it before it was removed and it was just
another dig at someone who likes to comment on this thread.

No, until he (rather kindly) sends out the official Stagecoach fleet allocation cards, to the select few people he sends them out to.
The fleet lists he provides work from those fleet cards, and they are the documents which are released on the public domain.

The point is it was information which had already been established two weeks ago - both the vehicles which had already been collected by Alpha, and how all others were expected to be collected by Alpha.
I only got on my 'high horse' because you came onto this thread giving out information which had already been established and then adding cocky remarks such as 'You're welcome' after it.
It is 'unconfirmed' that all other ALX200s in the fleet are to also go to Alpha because no documentation has been released on the public domain to suggest that - mere e-mails, sightings of ALX200s already at Alpha, and of course that glorious 'Alpha list' which no doubt one of your delightful friends has passed onto you. If I had said on the news that all ALX200s were to have the same fate as the ones which were believed to have been collected by Alpha and it actually turned out that the information given to me was incorrect back in December, we'd have claims of NEB being 'fantasy island' again.
I don't see what relevance this year's orders has to do with anything?
Hi Dan. At Least 33101 has had its tax disc Renewed till the end of this year so south shields will not get rid of this bus till then. Any more news to here about. Regards Robin

That's good to hear! Dear old 33101 alive and kicking until the cascades from this year's orders...brilliant!
No news, I'm afraid.

I was going to mention 35158 at Hartlepool - it was spotted on the 3 earlier.

33483 (R463SEF), 33489 (R469MVN), 33492 (R472MVN) and 33826 (R826YUD) have not been sold to Alpha Recovery, and remain listed as 'for disposal' in their respective fleets.
Apologies to everyone for the confusion on my half, suggesting that all withdrawn ALX200s which were listed as 'for disposal' had been sold to Alpha Recovery - from a quick glance at the e-mail I received, I assumed they had all been sold to the scrap man... Promise to read them properly in future!

It's a shame to see these going but a sign of the times I guess! Used to ride on these Darts all those years ago on service 59/60 in Stockton. 33101 is also still surviving, which was always the best one at Stockton! 33826 was also a good one.
HI, can I ask you something, if the ALX200 that used to work on services 59/60 and 610/11, why can't E200 or Triansbus darts do the same job then. so can I ask something then how come they don't have darts at Stockton anymore please tell me why, Thank You

They cut the frequency to save on cost of resources - the 59 was every 10 mins at its peak and is now every 15, also the 60 did make it to every 20 mins at one point! Now every 30 mins once again with the 13, though it does suffer from capacity issues at times!
I suppose the answer is they would have to increase the frequency to make Darts/E200's viable during the main daytime peak (which on Teesside is between 0800-1300)...

Eastbound Vine Place closure, affecting Services 3,4,5,5A,10,11,12,13,16,23,X1 Service Update
From Monday 20 January 2014, Vine Place in the City Centre will be temporarily closed to all eastbound traffic to facilitate roadworks by Sunderland City Council.
Last Updated : 10 January 2014 15:59
This eastbound closure is expected to be in place for around 10 weeks.
During the period of this eastbound closure, buses will be unable to observe their normal Vine Place bus stops, and will instead be required to divert via Stockton Road and Burdon Road, temporarily observing a bus stop near St.George’s Way on Stockton Road.
Buses will continue to be able to observe their normal Fawcett Street, Borough Road and Athenaeum Street stops.
Westbound buses will be unaffected by these roadworks, and so should be able to continue to use their normal westbound bus stops along Holmeside.
Clearly, whilst we will be endeavouring to operate all services through this area in accordance with their published timetables, as well as continuing to liaise with our colleagues at Sunderland City Council to mitigate any problems, there is nonetheless the potential that some trips may be subject to localised delays.
Stagecoach would like to apologise for any inconvenience these works by Sunderland City Council may cause, and we remain grateful for customers’ patience and understanding.

All returned to the leasing company. It's well know that Sir Brian wasn't a fan of them so wasn't that surprising they all returned.
I liked the Mercedes ones on GNE, not a bad ride.
The Scanias were awful though!
Dan. 19196 still of the road waiting a new gearbox to be fitted. also 22669 is still here also waiting for a new Engine. Regards Robin
Temporary (southbound) closure of Ryhope Road at Grangetown, affecting Services 10 and 11 Service Update
On Sunday 2 February 2014, Ryhope Road will be closed to all southbound traffic just to the south of the Queen Alexandra Road roundabout. This emergency closure by Northern Gas Networks is required due to a failing underground gas apparatus.
Last Updated : 14 January 2014 10:18
These works are scheduled to be in place during Sunday 2 February 2014 only. The closure will commence at 0800, and it is anticipated the road will reopen by approximately 1700.
Due to the nature of these temporary works, traffic will have to be diverted away from the road closure area, and this will affect the routes and bus stops of Services 10 and 11.
During the closure period, Service 10 buses will terminate on Ryhope Road, close to Global Fitness. Service 11 buses from Grangetown towards Sunderland will commence at this bus stop and operate via Ryhope Road, Spelter Works Road, and Old Commercial Road, rejoining normal route at Corporation Road. As a consequence of this diversion, these buses will be unable to observe their normal stops at the Ocean Road bus bay, or along Commercial Road.
Service 11 trips towards Grangetown, and Service 10 trips from Grangetown will be unaffected by these emergency works.
Clearly, whilst we will be attempting to operate Services 10 and 11 in accordance with their published timetables, there is nonetheless the potential that some trips may be subject to delay.
Stagecoach would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience these works by Northern gas Networks may cause, and we remain grateful for customers’ patience and understanding.
