35187,35188,35189 Should have gone back to south shields when the New 36's arrived at Sunderland. In stead they went to Newcastle why. Regards Robin

The 36***'s arrival at Sunderland resulting in the cascade of the 35***'s caused a neighbouring plea from Newcastle if you like, because they were in much greater need to withdrawn their non-DDA ALX200 Darts, since investment in midi-buses was taken more priority outside of Newcastle. So until further orders to cascade Darts, I'd say there is no rush to get the 35***'s back to their original home, especially with investment back in 2011 of their 61-plate E200's - which ousted the 35*** series Darts from Shields in the first place! Matt.
I was through Chichester yesterday and the depot looks so small! The hanger looks like they can fot 20 buses in max... Or have I missed something?!
On the 63 reg buses only I have noticed adverts for Twitter @stagecoachNE

Been no promotion of it though... Only on the e-mail address signature of some members of staff.
I actually thought enthusiasts ran it when it first started because there was no promotion of it by Stagecoach.
Makes you laugh...

Also gas bus 20085 (I think?!) past me on Roker Ave, and the #19 I was on followed it. I alighted at St Georges Terrace.

Nothing on Sunderland ones as far as I've seen, apart from the new E200s of course.

Will have a look today..!
Upcoming road closure by Morrisons at Doxford Park.

Passed the road closure signs just earlier.
It will affect a few operators, but particularly Stagecoach

Also advertised on the website now. There's a 50% Megarider sale on, plus a competition: http://www.stagecoachbus.com/Twitter%205...02014.aspx

Just received an e-mail...

Hi again Dan

We have set a date for our Gas Bus open day at Sunderland depot. It will be
Friday 14th Feb between 11am and 3pm.

There will be a press release and some promotional material later this week but thought you might appreciate the heads-up.

Hi Dan. Can you tell me if there are any changes taking place in the next few days. Is South Shields getting any more second hand buses from any other Depot's When the new Gas buses come into service. Regards Robin. PS 22669 is still here waiting a new Gearbox.

Although I've had no confirmation yet, I'd imagine the gas buses would just allow the oldest ALX300s at Sunderland to be withdrawn.

I have heard a rumour about some other buses coming to the North East from another region when they receive investment later this year too, but nothing concrete just yet... Just to be on the safe side (wouldn't like to think anyone referred to NEB as a 'fantasy island'), we'll keep those details quiet for now...
Cheers Dan For Information. Regards Robin

Do think Stagecoach have missed a trick by not having it on during half term. I'm sure there would be a few young lads interested in going if they saw it advertised on the buses!
Of course it means parents are likely to be at work too...!
