I hope so =D

I'm very sure and trust me it's not a good price, I know roughly how much the others have gone for.

Anyone else notice that the date is a Saturday and also airshow weekend

Nice spot, i didn't even notice that.
Extra buses now seems more likely for the change.

Think they usually terminate them at Seaburn Morrisons (on the roundabout just before the stop when Sunderland-bound) on Airshow days?

When I went to the Airshow two years ago the vehicle (I think it was an ALX300) terminated on one of the streets near the Airshow. Last time I went though it terminated outside Morrison's and I walked to the Airshow site.

Can't see these on VOSA - the Sunderland changes are showing but not the E's?

In addition, last year they could have done with more double decker buses as nearly every E300 had reached its full capacity of passengers, and extra buses would be the only alternative to using double decker's.
that will be where as on the front it usually says seaburn camp on the front

I know last year they certainly turned at the Morrisons roundabout as I'm sure I got a photograph of an E400 on one of the Economic services on that roundabout.

would be good to see a driver put 18A on by accient instead of 18

I have seen a driver use the "E6 to South Shields" display instead of the "E6 to Sunderland" before whilst heading to Sunderland. I have also seen a driver use the "23 to Seaburn" instead of the "23 to Dene Estate" on a week day as well. But, I guess there has been many more worse cases!
Couple of weeks ago one of the Sunderland MAN/ALX300 on the 12 came into town displaying the blinds for Service 2 in South Shields - presumably someone pointed this out as it was swiftly changed at Fawcett Street!

Guessing that it was 22021

Nope - it was one of the non-DDA ones, a 2246x I think but can't remember. Presumably the Shields destinations are included in the Sunderland blinds list.

How much over £1000 Does anyone have an idea?
(13 May 2014, 9:35 pm)AIG20 wrote [ -> ]I guess this is so Sunderland can lend a bus to South Shields if an "E" working breaks down whilst heading towards Sunderland. I think a "T-reg" man has worked an "E" service to South Shields before, until being removed from service at the Town Centre.
In addition, I have seen photos of some of the 22072-22082 batch working on the "E" services during the Volvo B10BLE era.
That wouldn't require the entire South Shields screen list to be loaded into the Sunderland fleet.
Incidentally, the Stockton fleet have Hartlepool routes programmed into the screen list - however only the 1 (with
very basic screens) and the 7 (
with proper screens)

20551 was just out on Driver Training on Newcastle Road. The sound it made was immense!

Me and mrnut85 know how much. There's been talks regards 33101s future but none I'm allowed to say. Just watch this space as it were because if it is to be saved the only way to come north is via the Coast Road and not A19 as it was going flat out for an hour which got rid of the oil and high temped the engine in the first place.
33101 has a heavy breathing engine so not fit for high speeds.
Temporary closure of Thorne Road/ Tilbury Road junction, affecting Service 23
On Monday 19 May 2014, Tilbury Road will be closed at the Thorne Road junction to enable highways remodelling works.
Last Updated: 15 May 2014 12:05 PM
During periods of the closure, buses will be unable to serve their normal bus stops at the west end of Thorney Close (on Thorne Road west of Thistle Road, on Tadcaster Road or on Theme Road).
During closure periods, buses will instead terminate at Tilbury Road/ Tay Road. Customers are advised to use the bus stops east of the Tilbury Road/ Tay Road junction in order to access Service 23.
Clearly, whilst we will be endeavouring to operate all services in accordance with their published timetables, as well as continuing to liaise with our colleagues at Sunderland City Council to mitigate any problems, there is nonetheless the potential that some trips may be subject to delays.
Stagecoach would like to apologise for any inconvenience these essential works by Sunderland City Council may cause, and we remain grateful for customers’ patience and understanding.

Has it ever been a Stockton bus?

Sorry, this is a bit late. It's £3.80 for a Day Rider which, according to the Stagecoach in Newcastle website, is valid in all of Tyne and Wear.
If you're wanting to travel past the Airport to Ponteland & Darras Hall, you can get a DayRider Plus which I think is about £4.50? I can't find any information about it on the Stagecoach in Newcastle website though.

- E200 36088 is getting repainted,
- 22666 is getting a chassis wash,
- 22196 and Driver Trainer 20551 are at the rear of Sunderland Depot.
- 22736 is still in storage - presumably awaiting the scrap man to take it away.
- 28014 and a few "63 plate" E200s are over at the pits.
Elsewhere, 22468 is resting in a layby next to the Marriot Hotel in Seaburn with an engineer at the wheel.
Think its the first time a gas bus has being over the pits , could be wrong though
Walkng past Sunderland depot, only bus put the back ia the training bus.
All seems quiet this afternoon

Only engineer dude i seen was driving a T? reg MAN in to the depot, thats as about 30 mins ago

Changes being posted for Sunderland
Changes to Services 3, 5/5A, 10, 11, 13, 16 and 20 from Sunday 22 June 2014
Following customer feedback, and we’re making some minor changes to services to further improve reliability and improve links in the City Centre.
Last Updated: 16 May 2014 5:43 PM
To view the new timetable for your service, please click on the appropriate blue service number below:
Service 3: To further assist operational reliability, there is a minor change to the Monday to Saturday afternoon timetable around 1600. However, buses during the main Monday to Saturday daytime period will continue to run up to every 10 minutes.
Services 5 and 5A: To assist reliability, there are minor changes to afternoon timetables around 1600 - 1800. This timetable change is intended to better reflect the ongoing issues we’re experiencing along Chester Road due to congestion at the Springwell Road roundabout. With the introduction of the new one-way system on Green Terrace, all evening trips towards Gilley Law are diverted to serve it. As a result of the new highways layout, buses towards the Docks will no longer operate via Green Terrace. The nearest alternative stop is around the corner on Vine Place.
Services 10 and 11: With the introduction of the new one-way system on Green Terrace, all evening trips towards Pennywell are diverted to serve it. Buses towards Grangetown will no longer be able to operate via Green Terrace - The nearest alternative stop is around the corner on Vine Place. There are no changes to frequencies, with both services running up to every 15 minutes.
Service 13: The Monday to Friday 0619 journey from John Street towards Doxford Park is revised to depart at 0617, and operate up to 2 minutes earlier. All other journeys continue unchanged, with buses operating up to every 10 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes, every 20 minutes during Sunday daytimes, and every 30 minutes during each evening.
Service 16: To further assist operational reliability, there is a minor change to the Monday to Saturday afternoon timetable around 1600 - 1700. This timetable change is intended to better reflect the problems we’re experiencing on Chester Road due to congestion tailing back from the Springwell Road roundabout, resulting in delays to services. With the introduction of the new one-way system on Green Terrace by Sunderland City Council, all evening trips towards Hastings Hill are diverted to serve it. Buses towards Red House will no longer be able to operate via Green Terrace. The nearest alternative stop is around the corner on Vine Place.
Service 20: With the introduction of the new one-way system on Green Terrace, all evening trips towards Pennywell are diverted to serve it. Timetables continue unchanged.
