I'd imagine if they replaced the remaining ALX300 then they would just put 36XXX/37XXX on the X20
If Stockton getting new Enviro 300s why isn't slatyford not getting if anything they need new buses too
(12 Aug 2014, 11:59 am)AIG20 wrote [ -> ]Stockton are getting 25 ADL E300s to allow the withdrawal of 25 non-DDA MAN ALX300s. There will still be many non-DDA buses left at Stockton once these E300s enter service. We may have to wait until next year for confirmation on any other orders.

Slatyford only have 6 non-DDA MAN ALX300s left - two of which should have been withdrawn (or placed in reserve) due to the arrival of two Ex-South Shields DDA compliant examples.

Three of the six at Slatyford (22478/82/83) have been withdrawn for several weeks now, and have no ticketing equipment so aren't active reserves.

They were only off for about 15 minutes

Anyone know which routes 37143/144 are primarily allocated to? Guessing that they appear mainly on Town services alongside the 364xx batch. Wonder how many days it will be until they venture onto the Economics and the X34....
37143 was on 3/4/7/8
Fleet lists up-to-date again (as per latest fleet allocation)!

Have also put the Walkergate E400s which were at Glasgow back as Walkergate, and the Stockton ALX400s back to Stockton - they were already obviously like that so it was easier just to update the notes to reflect both movements.
Have Stagecoach updated their ticket machine software? They are reading Concessionary and smart cards almost instantaneously!

Yes, it's for the new GPS tracking that's coming in soon
A Stagecoach E400 appears to have been in an accident with a van near the Life Centre.

Police and fire engines present and traffic is gridlock. Buses not serving Clayton Street West and heading past Nexus HQ instead.

Most likely a number 1? I cant think of any normal double deck services through that area

I'm not sure - I rarely pay attention to Stagecoach Newcastle (sorry!) so have no idea which service it could have been operating. I could have sworn the 22s go that way too?

It had Not in Service on the destination when I past on the main road by the coach station - unable to turn off to go by the Life Centre as a result of what had happened.
(13 Aug 2014, 1:26 pm)AIG20 wrote [ -> ]I think they are either on the 10/11/30 or on the 3/4/7/8 circuit today, as I've just seen one from a distance heading up Prince Edward Road towards the Nook. They are easy to identify as they don't have any advertisements attached and they are slightly more shiny than the older examples.

Unusually, both have actually carried adverts (nearside) since their first day in service:

37143
37144

No, just the 1, 22 and 38 with the 10 and 11 having 3 or 4 daily E400 diagrams and the occasional appearance on the 30/31 Wink
Eveing Journeys on the service 6 in Hartlepool are under threat again due to not enough passengers. The fact is there is no updated timetable and it not doing the full daytime route will be the reasons why.

it wasn't a slatyford service so yeah those routes sound correct

Timetable leaflet do you mean? Are the times up on the bus stops?
22481 is now at Stockton on the 59/61 today.

thats what I meant on the bus stop its not on the stop outside the BHF shop (opp Grand Hotel) which is meant to be the first stop for Eveing journeys so how are people meant to know. It should do the daytime route thats what people want.

Except they have said outright, they were testing the water, if enough people use the present section then they will look at running the full route on Sunday to Thursday evening.

As for the timetables, take that up with Hartlepool Council as they are responsible for making sure stops are updated.

Hartlepool Council could not organise a p**s up in a brewery so not surprised there and as for stagecoach claiming to be testing the water well that to me is just an excuse as they will know from passaengers that they wany the full service back on an eveing

To run the Friday/Saturday evening service on the 6, it requires 4 buses so takings need to allow enough to pay for the fuel for those 4 buses and wages for at least 4 drivers (of course, some duties will be slightly different on Fridays compare to Monday to Thursday) plus the depot staff to work longer (as they have 2 extra buses to do). Simply put, the 2 buses Town Centre-Clavering evening journeys is called 'testing the water' to see if patronage would enable them to justify restoring a full route service on the 6 on Sunday to Thursday evening (even if it finishes about 2200, same as the 7 does). Everything has to make money these days.

While I understand what you are saying people do want the full service back it does not have to be every 20 mins i think a 30 min service would do as long as it was timed not to run the same time as the 36 it would be used

Totally agree. But its not just Hartlepool, its all the local districts since they took over responsibility for doing their own bus stops. Even Middlesbrough bus station.

The duties will be different Mon-Thurs to Fri whether they run the new journeys or not.

What does a "fouled vehicle" mean? I guess it either means "broken down" or someone may have been sick in the vehicle.

A new one on me!

It was someone who had been sick on that bus
