Even i thought the 14/34 would be best suited but no. Like I said not is all it seems at Stagecoach. Most of the 12/39 will intermix with a 2 hour window to operate them both. Yes them 12/39s are going to be very tight and I can see lost mileage galore on there...
Kenny, a South Shields bus driver will be returning as Santa again this year whilst behind the wheel. He has also been awarded the Care in the Community award by Stagecoach for his fund raising efforts over the past 5 years. Note 16833 in the background of the image.

Does any stagecoach insiders know what services will be next to get wifi? X34 has been kitted out im hoping the E's do as I use them regularly. Plus journey times are around the same as the X34.

Not an insider, but I would imagine that branded routes will get wifi first. Although some Enviro400s used on the 22 (an unbranded route) now have wifi.
Busy routes that carry high numbers of passengers are also likely to get wifi.
Does anyone know which bus was supposed to operate the 13:17 E2 from South Shields? As according to the SNE twitter page it has suffered two "mechanical failures".
The 13:29 E1 from Seaburn to South Shields has also been withdrawn "due to a passenger incident".
Dunno but I do know that 27732 has broken at the Marsden inn

Would 16833 be repaired for Saturday? - it's just I plan to get a ride on it if I'm lucky! Not so certain now.

Shouldn't take long to repair that, depending on how much other work they have on... Anything from half hour up over
Nice to see operators extend tickets to take the Christmas period into account.

The last time I broke an Olympian on the X34 it took 6 hours to repair lol

I am amazed they haven't been able to automatically implement it yet
They have - read the link
You don't get added days for days of substandard service though.
Meanwhile I had an interesting ride on x34! How buses should be!

I seem to remember that the old Wayfarer card readers GNE had would do this automatically, but not sure about other operators.

Ah I was so used to them not having it... Glad they've finally figured it out!
There was an Enviro200 (might have been 36090) that seemed to be hovering around the Park Lane area for about 10 minutes this morning.
39662 at the back of the Wheatsheaf alongside quite a large number of gas buses (and accompanying ADL van) - the E200 is presumably there for repaint..

ADL doing checks or has most of the gas buses decided they want the day off
Out of interest, is there any news as to whether 16833 is back in service, or on Service X34 today?
