As reported earlier today MAX Pulsar 1416 has transferred to Darlington depot in exchange for 1493 presumably 1416 is now at Darlington for when the 75/76 (soon to be X75/X76) becomes MAX.

It is reportedly on service 2 today.
Ahh cool, yeah just caught up on the 'Latest' forum. Why the swap then, doesn't have 1493 have next stop announcements and is X1 branded? Could be wrong!

1493 doesn't have next stop announcements I believe and that one had the vinyl wrap advert for the 1/X1.

1416 has probably come to Darlington as it had already been refurbished to MAX standard for the X12/X2 but Gemini 7610 has now taken it's place at Belmont and Blyth got 1416 in exchange but they have now swapped it for 1493. This will now probably mean 1416 will probably join 2 of 1404-1407? On the X75/X76.
Spotted a Sapphire E400 on the X18 in Berwick this afternoon.

Might have been 7518. I think the 7511-17 being MAX has made them think 7518 is a MAX too.

It should be like this:
Standby refers to being sat in Ashington Bus Station, in the layovers located at: opp. Stand D & E, old wash entrance and old depot entrance.

Sapphire 7518 on standby for Sapphire duties if a Sapphire branded bus fails.
Plain liveried bus on standby for general duties if a vehicle fails.

If Arriva are reading this: Please tell your supervisors and leading drivers that Sapphire on MAX and MAX on Sapphire is unacceptable. Especially that 7518 was specifically refurbished for Sapphire standby duties.

X18 branded MAX E400 on 34. (Partially goes along the coast Wink )

Was there a MAX Enviro on the X21/22 today like?
If not and one other Sapphire example is spare, then wouldn't it make sense to allocate 7518 to MAX work, improving the service quality there?
1512 ended up on 29/29a after being replaced on 5/5a by 1554
4502 on 17
4512 on 17B
7443/54/6 on X12/X2
And Stockton's 1451 ended up working for Redcar on 22/64/64a

4501 was also on 21a (1145 from Middlesbrough) but has been replaced by 1512 for the 1445 trip (and the 1750 29a).
2832 on the 1415 21/X21 from Darlington.
Meanwhile 4813 is on the 11.

Yep, definitely 7.

1416 on the 1/5, should leave Darlington at 1600 on service 5 if it stays out.
