What components do they save for further use?
They take them to the scrapyard.

There's still 14 T/V reg.s in service - 22196-8/202/4/6/10/1, 22469/71/5, 22671/4, 22733.

Fleet No.10000, is now officially part of the Stagecoach North East (Busways) Fleet. Initially it came on trial from Manchester in exchange for 19199 to evaluate the Euro 6 engine, but is now formally part of the North East Fleet.

Cheers, Martin.
10000 was not swapped for 19199. 19199 went on loan to Manchester in 2014 to cover a PVR increase with the start of the 38 and as yet it hasn't returned. As I understand it, all vehicle loans to Manchester should return up eventually.

I guess 19199 may return when Manchester's Hyde Road and Wigan Depots receive their ADL E400 MMCs.

I've read elsewhere that the buses transferred to Manchester are not expected to return to their home depots... So effectively assumed to be permanent transfers. Don't know how true that is, but they've been there a long time already.

19199 transfer to Manchester had no connection to 10000 being allocated to the North East. 10000 was a development vehicle for ADL/Cummings and when the research had finished in May 2014 the vehicle was always going to pass into the care of the operating company that had done the research, just so happens that this was the North East.

That's correct, all the vehicles that went into Manchester fleet due to the condition of the vehicles purchesed with, was it JPT??? were all permanent transfers not loans.

What are these MANs like Are they worth preserving Not all of them i might add Just one

As nobody else provided their opinion, I shall.
It's nice for buses to enter the world of restoration and preservation but I think there are very few worthy candidates left. If nobody in the North East opted to preserve an Alexander PS, I highly doubt anyone will preserve a low-floor Alexander ALX300.
I think the elderly Alexander ALX300s are quite nice, and it makes a nice change to ride one in Sunderland where we practically have a fleet of ADL Enviro200s and ADL Enviro300 gas buses (we have 22214/15 in an active reserve capacity). South Shields has 22734 and I love it when this one crops up on the E1/E2/E6 services, even though it lacks power somewhat. That said, I think those down on Teesside will be glad to see the back of them, as they've had them left right and centre for many years now.

They vary, some are good, some are bad. They don't get rid of the worst first, even if they are going for scrap! If you want to know which are good and which aren't I could point you in the direction of a Stockton driver enthusiast.

I was thinking of a Teesside registered one so it wouldnt hurt if you could point me I do however understand they are a bit sluggish as they are governed to about 55 If that could be upped to 60/65 that would be better
2000 63 from Newcastle to Killingworth hasn't bothered showing up

The Euro2 ones tend to top out at about 52, the Euro3 ones are limited to 55 but will do much more (so I am told!)
Does anyone know why Slatyford are now using MANs on the 6/7/8 and 32/32A/35? The darts and E200s are now being used on the 30/31/36 group. Been like this for around a week now...

Think this might be a part of the reason:

2000 63 from Newcastle hasn't turned up yet. This is ridiculous
There seemed to be hell in Newcastle today according to SC tweets?!
Finally on one now after an hour. What happened. I checked the website to check about delays and there isn't a delay in the 63 roure
There are major roadworks at Four Lane Ends which have been causing delays on all routes round there.

There's only 22671/4 left at Stockton, plus 22667/8 in reserve, of the Teesside reg ones, but will ask what he thinks.

Messaged you Alan.
You can't blame roadworks for the performance tonight though
