Might as well ask where 8306/7 and 09 all are, as they havent been on the 2/2A for over a week now, possibly longer.

'New Buses'. not hard to guess which new buses they're on about. They may even treat us to an omnidekka if they're feeling generous.

I'm disappointed!

I can just tell that your Snapchat / Instagram / other Social Media platform was dying for a photo of an ice cream. Wink

In my defence the weather was terrible, was quite nippy so I would have probably gotten terrible brain freeze.

I have pretty much no social media accounts, I should really sort some more out.
There is an event at Herrington Country Park this coming Sunday.

What buses would get me there/back (Corbridge).

I know that the TEN runs hourly (via the Metrocentre) and the bus stop near the Park on A183 Chester Road Penshaw mentions 2, 2A, 78, 78A, S451 and S465 - do they run Sundays, where from and how late?

I don't want to be marooned in Penshaw.

I managed to get one around lunch time if Wade Herbet was there he would say "can we stop for ice-cream?" That GTA V character he said it to Trevor Phillips

The 451 and 465 are scholars.

The other services all go to Sunderland,78a is via Chester, the 2 via Washington Galleries.
You could do: TEN to Metrocentre, X88 to the Galleries and then the 2/2A to Penshaw

X88 - Hourly
2/2A - Every 20 minutes combined. =)
No Metro Newcastle (Monument) to Heworth this Saturday & Sunday

That's quite a trek - especially on a Sunday!

You have a number of options once you hit Newcastle (or Gateshead via Metrocentre on X66). You could catch the X1 to Washington Galleries (every 30 minutes), 21 to Chester-le-Street (every 10 minutes), or 56 to Sunderland (every 20 minutes).

From Washington Galleries, you'd then catch a 2/2A to Penshaw (every 20 minutes).
From Chester-le-Street, you'd then catch a 78/78A to Penshaw (every 30 minutes).
From Sunderland, you'd have the option to catch either the 2/2A or 78/78A (frequencies as above).

In Sunderland, services 2/2A only stop within the City Centre and no longer serve Park Lane. I'm not sure how familiar you are with Sunderland City Centre, but there are several stops in the City Centre, with the most notable perhaps being on Holmeside near the club named 'The Point'. Services 78/78A do stop in Park Lane Interchange, though, so if you're not familiar with the City Centre, you should have no issues connecting at Park Lane.

Towards Sunderland, the last 2/2A leaves Penshaw at 23:36. Likewise, the last 78A leaves Penshaw at 22:52. In the opposite direction, the last 2 to Washington Galleries departs at 22:59 and likewise the last 78A to Chester-le-St at 23:23.
