Someone asked to go to Bede college from Park lane... so GNE only gave her the 36?...... although the 20/20A/35 and X35 all stop at the Bede college bus stop.......

Its happened before with other questions although there's like 2-3 services to that area........

Some folk can get confused by too much information, especially if the buses leave from different stops.

Maybe but i would of thought they would of gave the 20/20A service a mention, with them being every 10 minutes from Park Lane to Bede...GNE should still advertise all the services which go to the location asked...
Next stop for a new career - although already posted about the upcoming event, it mentions recent events have gained them 42 new drivers... 2 which will be at the upcoming event.

Just a curious question, I got on the 82A at 14:20 from Concord back to The Galleries, prior to me boarding the Driver would had approximately 10 Minutes Layover in Concord, we then got as far as the Depot before he changed Drivers, question is what is the point of this when the changeover could of occurred at Concord, on top of that by the time the changeover was over and done the 82A was then running 3 to 4 Minutes Late, surely the Service would of lost custom at various points of the day if say 2 or the 50 arrived at The Galleries just before the 82A did picking up passengers for Lambton, where infact the 82A should arrive before the 2/50.

it might have reached the point where the current driver was reaching the limit of the time he was allowed to work for without a break. Or the end of his shift.

It also saves tying up a van that is desperately needed elsewhere at times.

always seem to be 2 or 3 vans parked up at The Galleries, would it not be more cost effect if multiple drivers are changing over at once at the same location, to therefore purchase a few people carriers like Deptford have to transport drivers.

we needed to know that.

Adam, you have no idea how hard that would be.  You would need to co-ordinate the changeovers so that everytime the drivers changed on the 4 and X1 at the same time as example, but they all have different lengths of duty portions, it would be impossible to do this on a regular basis.

Also, you may see vans parked up at the Galleries, but have they all came from the Depot??  Some of the duties may finish on an 88, but then pick up a 4 at the Galleries - not everything you see is black and white I am afraid.
There was a Vyking on the 92 earlier and it sounded worse that 6008!

Why does the X66 lights flicker so much? Much more noticeable at night. Also with these vehicles not been WiFi plugs etc as it's short distance would it not be cost effective to do it new rather than I'd they come to be cascaded?

Ah well. The ceiling could do with a wash.

And you're braver than me going out in this. Too many places around our village where the roads get blocked by floods. We've made some "interesting" journeys to or from Durham in this sort of weather.

Post the photos to their Facebook page, posting them in here won't achieve anything.

I'm fine so long as there is no floods at The Honest Lawyer, remember going to college one morning and we got as far as Coach and Horses pub near Thinford and had to turn round so I decided to jump off and head home but annoyingly just missed a 7 so I had to get the 35 from Ferryhill - Bishop Auckland which then changed to the 5/5A to Darlington.
