Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion-July 2016
Just seen a X12 Branded Pulsar going down the A1 just before the A690 turn off heading in the south direction, is there a X12 that finishes at Newcastle around 2pm

It may have been to Jesmond for a chassis wash.

As it will have been a Stockton bus, as they have the three branded single deckers, it was probably running light for some reason.

Stockton has a chassis wash, so probably not that.
I don't know if it people already know but V505 DFT is still living on with a company called Bubble Travel

A1 was a nightmare around the same time too. My X24 was 25 minutes late into the Metrocentre, and I'd gotten on it on time in Durham!

Do you no which bus was allocated to the x24
New branding is currently being applied to the Frequenta 64 branded E200's advertising free WiFi and USB charging points (even though they have plugs).

A selection of Durham buses have received rear adverts advertising stuff related to Arriva such as this one for WiFi on 1324. Saw one of these styled adverts on at least one of the standard liveried Pulsar's as well.

2823 is the latest Solo to be repainted into Frequenta base livery for the 49/49A.

And last - only 4 required unless they plan on having a spare example.

Would this person have inside knowledge (i.e. do they work for the company in some capacity?) or are they have likely to received the information from an unidentified third-party?

Simply being a member of this forum, albeit one who doesn't post anymore, isn't exactly confirmation of this alleged service coming into fruition now does it?

I have to agree I'm afraid. Other members are going to be sceptical of information, unless it comes from someone who is regularly reliable with information, or is attributed to a source.

It's like me saying that I've heard they're re-routing the X12 via the moon, but I can't tell you who has told me.
Do Arriva not have any orders for the North East area for this year then?

I don't think they have any for anywhere, from what I've seen. Too much uncertainty for them, at the moment.

I know that a batch of E400MMCs have been delivered down in Leicester recently though.

So far that batch of E400MMCs and a sole Wright Streetdeck have been delivered to Arriva.

The Streetdeck has went on trial at one of the Southern Counties Depots I believe.

Though like what BLM said, There is a bit uncertainty going through the company and DB want to sell shares and sell some divisions. Arriva have just sold there Burton-On-Trent depot to Midland Classic a few weeks back.
if the arriva are selling shares could they not sell the Northumberland division to companies like Travelure glenvalley or perryman?

That's probably like you or me hoping for first dibs if ever Buckingham palace went up for sale. Unless you're a billionaire, of courseWink

Indeed they have and this change comes into effect from 1st August 2016. However, Arriva operated X38s (joint operated with Trent Barton) will transfer to Derby depot.

From what the same person has told me, it was an overheard conversation between drivers.
Nothing new on order for the North East as far as I am aware.
