42 remains as North-Shields-Cramlington, new 42A extended from Dudley Hotel to Dinnington via Wideopen but omitting Cramlington.

PVR up by 1 or 2?, would imagine 1 or both Solo Sr from the 353 will be repainted in to Indigo.

Not sure but you're probably right there.

Interesting that in a recent discussion I had with Nexus about the 353 they said that the service was well used in all parts of the route and therefore they couldn't cut any part to keep the service hourly. Disappointing that they are now allowing the Kingston Park to Dinnington section of the route to be cut.

The section of the route between Kingston Park and Dinnington will still be operated on evenings and Sundays under contract to Nexus, so I cannot see the Monday - Saturday daytime operation withdrawn completely, Shrek. The information provided by RBZ 5459 above is what is in the public domain so far.
I would expect further discussion between Go North East and Nexus regarding the operation of the service between Kingston Park and Dinnington - it is not unusual for larger operators to operate one section of the route on a commercial basis (perhaps in this instance the section of the route between Benton ASDA and Dinnington), and the other section partly secured by Nexus.
As ever, all will become clear in time.

And it should now be closed again meaning that buses can no longer access Millburngate and with all affected services returning to their pre-December reopening diversionary routes (back up North Road as per coming into Durham and 3rd exit at roundabout at the top of North Road to Claypath and Gilesgate).

Hadn't happened yet, this afternoon. The stops on Milburngate are still in use, despite signs up to the contrary. No sign of any works on North Road.
A reminder that the changes to services V9, 19, X39 and 309 have started today.

I believe If it's a Tendered route ran under contract to Nexus, A replacement will have to be sought whether it be a new route running Dinnington - Kingston Park only or to persuade GNE to extend the 42A to Kingston Park as a Secured Service.

I've been told that GNE are possibly going to extend the route to Kingston Park, but the route will no longer serve Four Lane Ends at the other end, as after Killingworth and Forest Hall the route will follow along the existing 42 route. Well really once both routes 42 and 42A come together at Dudley they will follow the same route.
Seems like the North Tyneside services are changing again - there are variations for 1, 11, 40, 41, and 309/310 on Vosa. No idea what they are though.

Will check NCC website tomorrow but if something along the lines of the following appears for Monday to Saturday journeys:
Ex Newcastle:
- Buses will depart 7 minutes earlier or 8 minutes later at xx:05; xx:20; xx:35; xx:50
Ex Blyth:
- No changes to departure times (or a slight variation)
Then this could be a hint that a decker order could well be on the cards for either the TEN or Cobalt Clipper in respect if there was to be a PVR increase from 16 to 17 vehicles (10x 309 / 7x 310).
Only other possibility would be a long layover in Shields but we wouldn't find that out for another month.
