The could not have gone better, exactly how I wanted it to go...

Marrying the girl of my dreams and watching my gorgeous (step)daughter being one hell of a bridesmaid.

I have even won over my mother-in-law and actually saw her crying at one point, to hear her say she was proud of me actually stunned me as she once quite openly said she wanted me dead and we did not get on for nearly a year...So once she realised I wasn't going anywhere, I won her over...

Also hearing her Dad say he felt like he 'gained a son'

I know I was wanting a Routemaster as transport, but once the Tiger Cub, it was perfect [emoji23]

Pleased to hear that buddy, Hope you had a Lovely Day!

Congrats from me  Smile

At one point I thought it wasn't going to make it up the Church Bank in Murton with a full load, struggling to get to 10mph...

Yeah, it was perfect, only problem was it struggled to carry a full load up the church bank in murton and trying to get round a mini-roundabout at the back of Dalton Park was tough as it, of course, had no power steering lmao

Pride event in Newcastle today - Had to choose between this and the football, and chose the football.

Now watch the football get postponed due to this rain! :s
The GNE fb used to be a great source of entertainment or exasperation (depending on your stance) but it seemed to have improved.

I had a look on the page today for something and noticed some old faces had reappeared offering 'words of wisdom'.
I also noticed this.

Please, please, please can we have members of staff who know routes and don't have to rely on a computer to provide answers?
I appreciate it is probably not possible to know all service numbers or routes - particularly when they change with such regularity, but this is just poor.

Special 28 detour via Springwell and then Jarrow, did you not know Wink.

It seemed strange they didnt suggest walking/using the bus mere metres across the roundabout to Pelton (or even Chester) to pick up an 8 there..

It seems even stranger they would suggest getting the 28 to somewhere it doesnt go. Apart from that special detour you mention Wink

I post the same thing last year, like you said it isn't possible for them to know all of the routes etc, especially with route changes becoming so frequented but i'm sure they have access to a computer with the routes etc?

The NNRG vehicles looked excellent as always. Hopefully they'll be a better turnout on Sunday. Perhaps if the NEBPT organise such events they might like to bring some buses in future other than the static routemaster.

On a good note I got some good photos of coaches carrying Celtic fans and caught the gas double decker home. Five nil come on.

Any footage of the fighting that went on? Some of the stuff on twitter showed some terrible scenes.

No footage I'm afraid I but it's rather worrying when your confronted by about 200 drunk glaswegians chanting "we are going to tear your f..g head off" whilst walking over the bridge.

Shocking. Robinson inciting hatred yet again, but equally as stupid, Celtic 'fans' going to Hendon for a punch up...

You're not wrong, I have a friend who was one of the Police Officer's on duty for it and he told me to watch myself as the Scots were trying to cause trouble.

I've seen loads of footage on facebook of the one in Hendon & Wheatsheaf, when it all kicked off at Wheatsheaf before kick-off I had not long been sat in The Victory with my Dad and my sisters boyfriend, didn't see any of the fighting but to see some 30+ Police Cars between there and the bridge was a sight to see, an indicator to how serious this incident was as the club next door had an away fans only allowed in, I had been in spoons on fawcett street prior to that, again full to the brim with Celtic fans, it was a hostile takeover of all bars in Sunderland this afternoon with more incidents inside the ground also.
Can someone please explain to me the etiquette for the wave function on Facebook and Messenger? Whenever I've gotten a wave on Messenger, I've waved back and then I am expecting a reply from the person who waved but nothing happens. Think most people are pressing it by accident, judging by various people online saying they've done it by mistake.

We live in a world where even emojis have alternative meanings, Jimmi. If somebody sends me something that I cannot relate to, I return with a fire truck emoji.

Worse still, the latest one was someone I fell out with over me not messaging them, so now I am really confused, guessing it was: pressed in error, they are doing it to annoy me or by some hope it's them trying to put things right between us.

Most awkward social media moment for me recently was yesterday when randomly a nude photo popped in a Stagecoach Facebook group, of course I scrolled past that whilst looking through my feed, but it was unfortunate that it was the exact point when someone looked at my phone and they definitely saw that photo...   :s

A fb memory recently popped up.
It was about how a few years ago I had heard sexual moaning and groaning whilst mooching around a service station somewhere.

Turns out it was my phone making the noises and I had knocked a Fifty Shades clip that had been shared on my fb feed.

Awkward!

Coming soon to a town service near you:

Following the success of the Mellor Strata on Cheshire locals, Arriva have pushed on with using smaller, eco-friendly vehicles. Drivers will now be pioleting tandems on marginal routes, with turquoise chuckle-mobiles being deployed at peak times.

They're trailing a fully electric double deck in York. Are these buses actually the future? Could they handle the likes of Whickham and Winlaton Banks?

There must not have been much to report that day...

Though I can see why the burqa comparison was made

With a 120 mile range they'd need charging up again by lunchtime on the likes of the x21

BBC news are saying 13 dead, 80 injured.

2 arrested and 1 shot dead.

R.I.P to those who died (not that person who was shot dead)

Anyone know if I can pay for cinema tickets at the Odeon at Metrocentre on Saturday morning for a screening at 7pm?

Should be able to, seeing as you're usually able to purchase tickets a week or two in advance of the screening.
