I think it's high frequency but not so much revenue. It's duped massively up bensham bank, duped massively around lobley hill, and only really connects Whickham to Gateshead interchange. And Fellside to the front street. The 6/Ms are quicker to metrocentre, the X30 is quicker to town.
I think Go North East should refurbish the Mercs on the 4 rather than purchase brand new buses for the service, other services such as the 97 I think would benefit more from new buses as this is one high frequency service they've never invested in.

Most 97s are dead beyond peak times, especially in the evening. I can't see a large investment into this route.

Our sale on weekly tickets has been extended until the end of February. You can save up to £5 on some of our weekly tickets when you buy them on the Go North East app.

The monthly ticket is already discounted on what it would cost to buy several shorter term tickets.

What I do wish for is a multi operator ticket that covers Tyne and Wear and County Durham, travelling between Gateshead and West Auckland gets fairly expensive fairly quickly! Although Arriva weekly tickets are a lot more reasonably priced than GNE

Adult £10.50
Child £5.50

Maybe at:
£15 for an adult
£9.50 for a child

I think that's kinda why they don't already do it. It would just completely flood and destroy commercial profit.
