Thanks - i don't see what is wrong with the one worn by most of the current fleet mind. Infact, i think it looks nicer than that new livery.

I agree. I don't think the new looks as smart as the previous.

This type of display is now confirmed to be replacing the roller blinds in the fleet.

Volvo B7RLE RIG 6490 (SF55 HHE) is the first bus to wear the new East Coast Buses livery. It has been given the fleet number 10194. The registration is currently causing debate as to whether it is just for show (although i can't see it):

Intresting layout for the destinations, don't like the black strip between the big and small front upstairs windows though.

I'm surprised at them having destinations to be honest - doesn't happen to involve DDA by any chance? I imagine the strip would have been disguised had it been the standard (although not for much longer from what I've read!) display most of the vehicles carry.

A couple of more side shots (taken from the Edinburgh Bus Tours' twitter)
Lothian Scania Omnidekka 989 (SN57 DBU) has re-entered service after 4 years out of service following fire damage it received in May 2012:

As can probably be seen, it has been fitted with the new LED destinations as carried by Gemini 701.

That took a long time!
The Routemasters operating on the Mac Tours service (and indeed the service itself) operated for the final time on Saturday 29th October.

The article has strongly suggested that the RMs will be preserved (and rightly so - they are the longest Routemasters in existence due to being lengthened when they arrived from London).
The first single decker to carry the new Lothian corporate livery is Volvo B7RLE 134 (SN55 BJU):

This batch of 25 have entered service now on service 22 (the first lot at the back end of last year) but another 25 vehicles are due in the spring for service 26 (Clerwood - City - Tranent or Seton Sands).
Having a guess that it is not a photo edit, Volvo B5TL Wright Gemini 3 402 (BN64 COU) has been repainted into the new fleet livery.

Discussion on the future of services, following passenger falls and double figure % drop in some areas.
Another variation, and hopefully this is the new single deck livery.  Ties in nicely with the Gemini 3 livery.

Does anybody else think that looks more of a natural evolution of the ALX300 body work than the enviro 300 does?
Also breaking this evening is news of the sale by First of their Galashiels depot to West Coast Motors, along with the services and a number of vehicles.  The sale will take effect from March 25th.

Not a bad little empire that is being built up on the east coast, by West Coast.

Not half - by the time the sale goes through its operating territory will resemble largely that of the old Lowland Scottish.

I'm hearing that the Perryman O-licences will be renamed Border Buses Ltd, but the Perryman's name is to be retained in the meantime.
