Most of the displacements will have to be to Durham then, there's only 5 B7's left in Northumbria and 3 B7's at Whitby, whereas Durham have 13 still going strong.
Potentially linked to the imminent arrival of new vehicles, MAX E400s at Ashington are getting debranded. Can confirm 7516 was done today, as well as another few that I don't have the fleetnumbers of.
At least they've kept with the e-leather, so much nicer and hygienic than the moquette GNE switched to
When do the new Enviro 200 MMC's arrive and what routes are they for? Would be nice for the 57 as most of the solos on there are pretty bad and unreliable.

Confirmed in the suggestions thread:
(25 Aug 2022, 7:56 pm)RobinHood wrote [ -> ]Five of the fourteen are going to Ashington, yes. This was confirmed internally.

The remaining 9 are for (on paper - the 55(3) and the 46/51(5) +1 spare).

The 555 and 553 don't need CAZ compliant vehicles. I understand 2601-2603 are being kept for these.

If the 55 or 46 does go, then that will probably convert the 553/555 to E200, as they won't want to split the vehicle batch any more than already planned.
What are the lengths for the E400MMC & E200MMC?
Noted at least 3 of the new ADL Enviro 200MMCs on delivery on the Heworth Bypass this morning, however I couldn't catch up to them due to getting held up at the traffic lights at the Heworth Interchange.
Arriva Driver has confirmed tonight that he saw 2 small ADL Enviro 200MMC in the new Arriva livery at Jesmond Depot.
Has confirmation they are not visible from the road

Understand that quite a few standard E400s have had lots of recurring issues with their ZF gearboxes (7530 as an example), so this could be another factor in the decision making.
I've only just seen this. What's the difference between a Voith and ZF gear selector?

Any photos?

I do think ZF is better on a good run but I get the issue around reliability. Didn't GNE have issues with 6338-40 which came to light during lockdown 1 when they operated the special 45 service?

None of the current batch as the ones I've seen are on social media pages, therefore can't easily be uploaded here.

There is a picture of a 17-plate  Arriva MMC here though (selector on RHS of dash - note the Voith on the neutral):

The original(?) demo looks to have been equipped with a ZF, looking at this picture of it's time with GNE and comparing it to the ZF gear selector found in 'older' Arriva E400s:

Will all of the new busses have next stop announcements for all the X routes they’ll run on or just the x21/x22?

There a new E200MMC currently in storage at Darlington depot, posted in BusesNortheast page on Facebook

All routes

I wonder if they'll actually be updated or if it'll end up similar to other vehicles where they're extremely out of date?

i somewhat doubt they’ll have next stop announcements for anything other than the x21/x22 anyways never heard any on the x14/x15/x18/x20 before despite them having the displays in some of the busses.

None of the buses on the X14/X15/X18/X20 have NSA's so they haven't been set up. (on paper at least).

Every route now should have NSA's excluding the 1 and 2 but the spare Enviro 200 MMC will no doubt end up on them anyway so they all need done now. If the Enviro 200's has NSA's anyway. I'm not actually sure, anyone confirm?

MAX X18 liveried E400's 7529-33 do have NSA equipment fitted and have done for some time now with some journeys on the X18 having guided tour commentary on them when they were fitted (unsure if this is still offered or not or if the equipment even works).

Most depots already with NSA equipment do have announcements for most routes they operate, Darlington certainly have all the out of town routes programmed in (likely town services too given NSA kit was fitted to the previously Frequenta 3/3A liveried Solo's)

That will be interesting to see then, i wonder if they will be the same type of announcements that are currently on the X21/X22, personally they are my favorite.
The e200s have NSAs. All new Arriva buses are fitted with them now following the end of Sapphire in 2021.
In other news 7511/14-16 have all lost their respective branding and now feature a plain version of the MAX livery with the arriva logo as seen on DB300S 7603/22-25 & Pulsars 1404/05/08/11. Presumably in preparation for to be displaced to their new homes by the E200MMCs

Fleet No. 2706
Reg. YX72 OKF
2704 also visible just inside the doors at Jesmond this evening, reg YX72 OKD.

Some interesting transfers were shown on QUACK77 last night, with 7511/12 transferring to Jesmond, 7514-17 to Durham and 7524-28/53-56 to Arriva Southern Counties at Maidstone ! All of 7410-13/15/84-86/90/91 were shown as withdrawn.

The transfers to Maidstone were later rescinded this morning, but the other stuff seems to make sense.

The 57/09 reg ones make sense however the 14/15 reg examples go maidstone make no sense, let's hope its fake news.
My idea for transfers will be:

7511/12 to Jesmond replacing 7412/91

7514-17 to Belmont replacing 7410/13-15/85

(These were mentioned above)

7524-28 remain at Ashington for 35s

7510 remain at Ashington as a spare for 35s

7529-33/53 to Blyth to allowing 1493/1501-5 to be cascaded to Belmont hence releasing 2818/20/23/50 & the 2 56 plate centros to be withdrawn.

7554-56 to Redcar to be the X93 winter spares and form part of the X93/94 summer PVR allowing 7424-26 to be relieved of their duties at Redcar.

Bugger aye forgot about the tours on the X18. Not sure if they're running nowadays, haven't heard anything about it this Summer tbf.

Believe it's just the standard across the company so should be, the new Liverpool buses have it.

Thank you, wasn't sure with them being minibuses.

Can't see that personally. I think some will go to Belmont for the X46 over the Solo's been withdrawn. Can't see many of the 55 plate surviving but Redcar's have just had work done so can't see them going anywhere yet.

Also I have a feeling that something will go to Jesmond to see 7501 - 7506 off frontline work. They're absolutely wrecked from Blyth not looking after them when they were on the 308 and then getting flogged on the X93. They badly need to go into a reserve role whether that's Pulsar's or else who knows.

I'd find it very strange if buses that are being/have been converted to Euro 6 ahead of the CAZ were to move away from Northumbria, especially to another division entirely.

As with BusTimes anyone can edit Quack so could just be someone playing fantasy.

Interestingly Quack has 7518 down as scrapped/written off, anyone know if there's any truth to that?

BIB: I'm sure I read when the plan was for the E400MMCs that were until today being stored at Faverdale were due to be stored at Belmont, 7510 was mentioned as being destined for Durham.

As for the rest, unlikely to see any move to Blyth. And also, 2610/2 are here as refurbishment covers so will only be withdrawn once the refurbishments are complete.
How many E200 MMCs are Ashington depot getting?
