I believe one of them hit a bus shelter yesterday and took off the nearside camera mirror - a bit more pricey to replace then normal mirrors like on Purple Solars!

You're joking?!

Looks like none of the Yutongs are out today in Sunderland.

I take it they're on charge?

Hoping to see the rest enter service soon.
73071 (NL74 FVH) has entered service according to bustimes.

73061
73062
73063
73068
73071
73075

Are all now in service.
Monday is the target for full deployment, though not a guarantee.

That's good news, hopefully Big Grin

Still think its daft to have around 10 (depending on how many spares they want) of them in the depot at one point, hopefully we see them on another service.

How long does it take the Yutongs to re-charge?

73058 tracked on the 16 - but they could be just testing the destination boards, as its still in the depot.

73074 is heading north on Saturday apparently, we’ve got one of our own ones on the road for familiarisation now with another being taxed today!

Makes sense to send it to Sunderland, since Stocktons have started to arrive.

Sunday will be a busy day with buses leaving Sunderland (if Monday is planned for all 20 enter service)
73089 ,73091,92,93 and 94 at Stockton depot I think ?
058 is on the 16.
It's been took off, only did one trip.

Who knows. I get a feeling there is no formal allocation for the other 10, at least not for now.

Hopefully they do allocate some of them to another route, be daft having the 10 in the depot, doing sod all.

What's leaving Sunderland when the Yutongs enter service?

That's not what I mean, what I mean is they'll be float vehicles until they decide or formalise what else to allocate them to. Perhaps they already have and just not told anyone.

Ah right sorry, completely misread your post.

Hopefully they might go on my local route the 23.
How Menu yutongs are stagecoach Stockton depot getting then?

I think its around 58 but I'm not 100% sure.
Ok mate
Just seen 73072 on the 16 heading towards Sunderland.

Saw one in Sunderland yesterday, due to the Sun you couldnt even see the destination display at the front

Also, would the X24 not be a good fit for then E12

Not really because of the relatively long stretches of motorway, and they're limited to 50.
Was going to go out and try and catch a Yutong but Bustimes, say they're all in the depot... hopefully gearing up for tomorrow.

Shame that, how many miles does the electric decker Yutong do before it needs a re-charge.
I personally don’t like the look of these as it seems they are only 2 seats either side before the steps which could cause problems for people with disabilities, I really wish had for Electric enviros or the mercedes instead which seem slightly better.  I can see the 36 struggling with these as well capacity wise, I seriously wouldn’t have gone all out on making just electric Youtongs and would have kept some Enviros and MMCs just in case of any issues, which I can see happening, so wonder if they have a plan in place should something happen, such as power cut or problems with chargers.
Looks like all the Eco boards are Yutongs today.

Can't comment on the layout but I've heard that the Mercs are poor from a passenger point of view as they noisy as hell and riddled with rattles.

Sure Harrogate had issues getting them into service aswell.
Well, I'm on the 16 and the vehicle type on the running board has been changed from "Single Deck Gas" to "EV E12"

Oh nice, I use the 16 most days of the week, looking forward to having a ride on them.
