Is the stop announcements working yet?, if so, who's voice is it?
It'll be the automated voice they use in newcastle

Ah right, I've never heard the ones in Newcastle before, I hope they're not annoying as "This is the country ranger 8 service to ******" playing every time the doors shut.
27728 is now tracking at Slatyford again and surprisingly is 37318.
Looks like some of Sunderland's Yutongs have gone back to the depot, as 36467 and 36973 are now tracking on the E's.

I think 27728 was a mistrack but 37318 is there. Walkergates 11296 is also at Slatyford. Slatyford are really struggling for buses at the moment. Lack of investment at Slatyford depot is starting to show. No new buses since 2016!

Stockton are getting Slatyford’s 18 and their original 40 making 58 but are also taking some from other orders potentially Rugbys 5 to make up 63 I’m not sure how many they need for a full electric fleet.

It usually says "xx service to destination" such as
"40 service to Wallsend Bus Station"
"E1 service to Sunderland City Centre"
A key reason why I prefer the stagecoach announcements is they are quick and not annoying.
Another useful thing they do is announce the different stops used in Newcastle City Centre...for example "Due to the ongoing development of Pilgrim Quarter some service will be using alternative stops, please visit stagecoachbus.com for more information".
During the national driver shortage they also played an advert for recruitment of drivers too which wasn't that annoying as it was only once or twice per leg of journey if I remember correctly.
All I had it 64 new Electric yutongs for stagecoach Stockton depot.
Is the 5 new Electric buses come to stagecoach Stockton at Moment knom more yet

18 from Slatyford to start with and then the 40 Stockton originally ordered. Then they’ll get 5 or 6 from somewhere else but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. After that Stockton probably won’t get any new buses for years.
Are Sunderland having problems with the Yutongs?, there's a mixed allocation again today on the E's.

Ah cheers for the extra information.

I don't think the chargers are active. It appeared the charging cables were still wrapped in plastic.

Ah, seems daft launching the E services as electric to then have a mixture on the next couple of days, should of just waited till all of them were done.
Bustimes, is tracking 73067 on the 16, if anyone needs a photo.

Do we know what’s up with 73063? Was taken off on the 16th January hasn’t been out since. Surely not a reliability issue already?

Think its the one, what caught its camera mirror on the bus stop.

It's the one that crashed on Fawcett Street
A bus out of service for 2 weeks due to a mirror incident. I know in theory they're less likely to happen, but usually you'd barely miss a full trip out for losing a regular mirror.

Ah okay, be expensive and take a while to replace that camera. Another reason why mirrors are better.

It's a lot more than the camera I believe. I believe it's waiting to go back to Yutong.

Should of just stuck with normal mirrors

I’m confused as to why the drivers got so close to the shelter in the first place. I bet Stagecoach are regretting getting cameras instead of mirrors. I’m sure Stocktons are cameras as well I wonder if they might alter the order

Exactly, how close was he trying to get? Buses are meant to stay on the road not drive on the pavement. The camera mirror only sticks out a few cm, I am generally so shocked at this.
Sorry it later has Anyone got a photos of new yutongs 73089,91,92,93 94 at Stockton depot. Please.

I photographed the one that's being used for driver familiarisation at Middlesbrough bus station the other day, but it's not carrying a fleet number yet.

Supposedly Stockton will gain one electric decker for use on schools and as an additional resource for schools. With the exception of the Flex Sprinters for the foreseeable until the end of that contract, there will be no diesel vehicles at Stockton once all the electric fleet has been delivered.
