Hope they do well, and hopefully grow as a result, giving a certain operator a bit of competition, and therefore increasing service quality in those areas.
Todays #cake made for the launch @SpiritBuses in #Rothbury, a fantastic new service for #rural North #Northumberland http://t.co/MZg99kT1SF

These vehicles have been allocated fleet numbers 201 and 202.

201 appears to be registered as KU02YBC, and 202 as KM51BFO (I'm sure someone will be able to confirm).

Has anyone had a ride up to sample Spirit yet or have a clue as to how passenger numbers are stacking up?

Someone said that it is a good reliable bus service
Travel on any of our services for a day for £2 with our U18 #CurlewCard inc evening buses! @NUs_Young @YoungNorthPark http://t.co/kMyuRr3Q5r

Under 18's seem to have a good deal. Maybe worth some of you younger members having a trip up during the October week or one Saturday.
Bargain for £2!
They're enthusiast-friendly too, so I'm sure they'd be happy to pose for photographs - esp. if you paid them 2 quid to do so!
For any of the members in North Tyneside or Northumberland, with access to Arriva, it would be a cheap day out.

Just looking at train times to see how feasible it would be for anyone else.

This is a good read too

Spirit Buses have gone dotty for #ChildrenInNeed!

Only dawned on me afterwards - didn't see any mention of Spirit at Alnmouth station yesterday.

Neither on the timetable that is within the station nor on the leaflets displaying local events or attractions.

They could be missing a trick there, as everything seemed geared around the X18.
They only operate 2 services a day to / from the station which look like they're timed for commuters or day trippers to / from Newcastle rather than people who'd arrive at the station, then think about which bus to catch. I presume their services were on the timetable in the bus shelter?
Just heard on BBC Look North that there will be a bit on Spirit Buses on there tonight, think it starts at 6.30 if anyone is interested.

Quite a good article for local BBC news it also made an appearance on the afternoon Look North yesterday. BBC Radio Newcastle have been running the article this morning.
There was a feature last night on Radio Newcastle, but didn't see it last night on Look North or manage to catch it this morning.

Saw a Spirit Bus in the flesh, when I was in Alnwick the other week. Wasn't carrying many, but it was one of the short runs, to the other side of Alnwick.

@guyparkroyal What did you think of them when you were up recently? Was it a successful trip?
