It's not by City. It's someone external to the company.

I'm not sure anyone in a bar will be paying attention to some random stickers, assumingly in a toilet tbf.
It's just an attack on James Fairchild, who some people hate but that's for another place.

You'd be surprised. I was in the bar and it did bring up conversation and not positive for City Transport. Word gets around the small bars in Newcastle too.
If City Transport are aware of who's doing it, they might want to try and do something about it.

The sticker is horrific. No ifs and buts about it. Even worse if someone has done it to damage their reputation.
The more I read, the more I have concern about City's reputation. Trouble seems to follow them around and in my experience, there's usually no smoke without fire.

Aye, I wouldn't be surprised if it's linked to the 'James Fairchild Appreciation Society' Facebook page which has some pretty wild claims and uses similar language. They definitely don't like him, as an understatement.

I saw the Sunderland connect liveried artic only managed a couple runs this morning before being replaced by the ALX 400 all day. Surmising this wasn’t supposed to be the case lol
Also does anyone know the plans with their plain white Gemini decker, is it going to be a permanent fixture on the 701 and will it go into City livery?

Do people on here not like City?
I think it’s dead quirky having bendy buses around again. Like back when they operated the X66 to the Metrocentre. Good to see a smaller operator getting a good contract too.
However I must say I’m not a huge fan of the connect livery. Ik it’s not going to mirror GNEs exactly but City’s looks so plain, no destinations or route info. I thought nexus would have stipulated all that as part of the livery not just the connect, uni and SCC logos. Nevertheless bendy buses are 10/10 to see around again even if they’re aren’t perfect for the 700s tight turns?

I heard today off someone who knows a few of the City transport drivers (and the same person who told me that new buses were on the ferry a few weeks ago) said "the Ex-Stagecoach ALX300 that they have on their fleet list on bustimes was bought to be preserved, but has been impounded by VOSA due to the wheelchair ramp falling off as it was only attached by 1 hinge" - not sure if I 100% beleive this as when I asked why they couldn't just repair the hinge if it was that simple especially because they own the bus instead of leasing it, the person answered "I think they are running out of cash"
But I agree with previous posters saying a lot of negativity has surrounded this forum regarding City Transport - I have no idea and do not want to get into semantics of whether claims are true or false, that is what the moderators/admins are for. All I know is I live in Pallion and I feel really lucky to have in the space of just over a year, two small independent operators taking on the big 3 for contracts and public discourse on transport.
Just look at the reception to when Northstar launched the 599 compared to City Transport starting the 700/701 - it is very different attitudes. Again not saying one is better than the other or any distaste is warranted because I genuinely don't know - I just have noticed the difference. My only thing I have noticed is CT seems to be a bit amateurish (from my personal experience) which is not a bad thing as everyone has to start somewhere...

The difference between Northstar and City Transport is one of them didn't have a director who has been charged in the courts for abusing a worker with special needs.
That's fact and the court documents are quite easy to find. The comments from the individual (James Fairchild) are disgusting aswell.
Should be nowhere near the industry or any industry, even, in a management role.

Those MANs didn’t have flip out ramps, they have fold out ones stored in the luggage rack. Right pain in the arse as a driver.

Who is actually behind the survey?
I've not delved too far in to the survey, but I can't see if it is the uni behind it, the council or someone else.
